Posted at 06/11/2008 17:49 by castleford tiger lEESON WHAT YOU WANA KNOW? i AM NEARLY IN THE 3% CLUB.Reason for share price dive from 100p to 18p. This is my take on it. CTU issued at 74p a load of shares to ESS.(EQS) ESS used these to support a loan from LANDISBANK. Landisbank go bust and reciever see some chance of cash and sells the shares even though ESS take out an injunction. Price falls to 10p as in a thin market no-one can see whats going on. Mellon and the BOD have been buying all they can and i think the parcel has now gone.Share price will come back to normal very very soon. There is a question as to a loss at ESS, but as ESS had a loan with LANDISBANK i assume they will just not repay it. The shares however were maybe worth up to 50% more than loan. EQS shares remain suspended. Great story and lots of money to be made here. CFG do not have any debt. tiger |

Posted at 11/8/2007 13:51 by techtrend A rare bit of blue on the worst day on the LSE for years, got to be a good sign.I think we're due a trading update in the next 2 weeks, if CTU follow last years pattern. Perhaps the first pre-pay cards have been launched - "early autumn" was their last update for one of the cards. I've noticed several pre-pay cards being launched in recent weeks - 1. Barclays have one that they have been promoting through Metro (free london paper) which is aimed at the travel market. The idea is you top up the card before you go away - so you can use a pre-pay card like a credit card abroad. 2. Costa coffee have a pre-pay card that you can swipe like an oyster card when you pay for your daily coffee. Not sure how far Oystercard have got with their pre-pay for small purcheses - I think it's being trialled now? Anyhow, actually this "competition" is good news as it opens up awareness within the market - which I strongly believe is big enough for many offerings including of course CTU's. |
Posted at 04/5/2007 18:05 by castlefordtiger The Results will be DIRE. Lots of hope attatched to CTU and i am one of them. Sitting tight for now. tiger |
Posted at 13/4/2007 07:48 by joeall Anyone know why ctu has dropped 1.5p on digital look&city equities & hasnt moved on advfn&an ADVFN competitor. |
Posted at 16/1/2007 17:53 by castlefordtiger I spend my time on iii as i find ADVFN boards too messy. However i try and check a couple of times,MM are still short of stock. The board at CTU is VERY heavy weight. MELLON as always wanted a bank, they are not cheap to get hold off. I think they have VERY big plans for this little baby. Share price £10.00 market cap 400 million still a steal. They are not getting mine, may take a bit out circa 150p. Interesting to see the sales come through today. They were soon mopped up. Have you got the shareholder profile? i have lost my accounts. tiger |
Posted at 13/5/2006 00:33 by jesperinlondon Hi all, just only stumpled across this thread as I was wondering what the heck is happening with CTU in recent days - been suspended from trading for two days now, talks about reverse-merger - this could be something big.Update: I just found a website with a lot more information about the potential play, sorry if I am stating something which is already known, but if not it might be of interest to you guys too: - run by a guy who apparently has some background in "weird" investments. I think they have somehow forgot to put a password-protection on that site! it's all just a PDF download, although some of the files are full-blown reports - completely accessible...?? strange innit? |

Posted at 10/4/2005 18:08 by topvest Seem to be talking to myself here! Accounts and 70 year brochure has come through the post. This company really makes an effort with it shareholders. I've taken up the scrip dividend again. |
Posted at 19/8/2004 13:10 by topvest This company is undervalued in my opinion. I've bought some shares in this one. Seems to attract very little interest, but it is unbdoubtedly I nice little company. The facts; it's shares can be bought at book value, the company is profitable with a good dividend yield, it's ignored by the wider investment community (this is the first BB thread for this company and we are on post 7!) and it has a committed and capable management team that are in the process of building the company. It's time to get in, before others notice in my opinion. |
