When/if CNR feels it needs more working capital then it would imo have very little problems doing a placing.

4.6m shares at say
30p = $2m
35p = $2.3m
40p = $2.6m

That’s with a 10% dilution, which in AIM circles most would consider as far from frightening. Current SP, 38p on bid.

factually incorrect and shows a not unusual total lack of knowledge plus a few fantasy traits too.

Good post on LSE

heres a thought

We have £1M quid in the bank, enough to last 6-9 months..

Why not wait until some news that causes the share price to rerate, like oh I dont know - an EIA approval or some kind of farm in agreement with Newcrest or A.N.Other

Then, if you still need to (as someone like Newcrest might fund this anyway) either sell part of the asset or raise funds at a decent share price like £1 - £1.50 a share to limit dilution (and if you have 4M shares, you surely want to avoid diluting a lot more than us PI's do)

Have some imagination. MC has more experience at doing this than you or I will probably ever have. The guy was a financier for 20 years in singapore ffs.. He wont raise funds at 40p, just prior to excellent news.. And if he was going to, why wouldnt Jim Mellon have waited to buy in a placing rather than at market rates...

Wake up and smell the coffee..

hey, maybe they would, but just because they've farmed in to something else in the same country doesn't really imply they would here does it? That's a pretty weak argument... and anyway, it still doesn't answer their short term cash requirement does it?

Why wouldn't they?

And I provided another recent one done at $20 per ounce.
===============

Andy,

sorry, didn't see the example you provided at $20/oz so if you have the link can ya post again, ta. End of the day we can both quote examples of high or low $/oz TO, JV's or mergers and in the end an asset is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

But as I pointed out with Challice's $6/oz purchase. It's not the $/oz that is important, it's the $ profit/oz that can be made that is important. And CNR's are currently 1130 - 700 = $430, which obviously compares very well to the vast majority of peers.
