12/11/2015 16:53 | Some rise!! | ![]() jeanesy
12/11/2015 16:48 | Today's small upward price movement was as ever supply/demand driven. The two insti sellers don't appear to have been dumping today so any purchases lifted the price. | sir andrew ffoulkes
12/11/2015 16:40 | That is not a certainty and would be in a worse position without a dealRef today's rise I think it's a trap as couldn't sell much within spread | usmcgs
12/11/2015 16:36 | "and, where possible and practicable," That I'm afraid is not going to happen, they will wait until we sell the company, as that is the most likely scenario. We are up for sale after all and they'll get the best price from a company sale not from fire sale. | sir andrew ffoulkes
12/11/2015 16:36 | This could well be why the mms are hammering this as they know regent will be selling next. Perhaps waiting for current seller to finish. I think today's rise is a trap | usmcgs
12/11/2015 16:33 | Sir A Earlier in 2015, Regent Pacific disposed of a majority of its interest in Binary Holdings Ltd., and, where possible and practicable, intends to sell its remaining non-healthcare and life science assets during the remainder of 2015 and focus all its attentions on its new healthcare and life science strategy. | zangdook
12/11/2015 16:30 | Precisely my point, they have not said anything CNR specific, in fact previously they have suggested both the mining and biotech sectors have similar risk profiles and they like both. The only confirmed institutional sellers are City and CQS, RP are not a seller, they will have to notify when and if they start to sell, so for now we cannot even assert that they are. | sir andrew ffoulkes
12/11/2015 16:26 | Andrew it was when they put the offer in for ple and not just cnr specific | usmcgs
12/11/2015 16:11 | Zangdook, are you able to point me to the original quote from Regent Pacific or Jim Mellon that states explicitly they are selling out of CNR? I can only find the opposite at the moment! | sir andrew ffoulkes

12/11/2015 15:23 | tick up but can't sell much within the spread | usmcgs

12/11/2015 14:48 | On top of that Regent Pacific have publicly stated their intention to offload their stock by year's end. A foolish thing to say IMV. They ought to have said something like 'in a short time scale' rather than putting a date on it like that. Maybe they were just saying it for PLE holders to hear and they'll let the timing slip a bit, especially if there's any prospect of a deal. The effect on the share price of dumping however many % they hold, even if they find a buyer to place it with, will not be pretty. | zangdook
12/11/2015 14:29 | Jibbo, the ramper, seems to have left with his helmet on and tail tucked between his legs | usmcgs
12/11/2015 11:54 | Andrew you cannot say that the 2 that gave already visited would not have said anything. A lot of their work would have been completed pre trip.£1m will not last long and not deal mc will need to raise cash | usmcgs
12/11/2015 11:54 | Andrew you cannot say that the 2 that have already visited would not have said anything. A lot of their work would have been completed pre trip. £1m will not last long and with no deal mc will need to raise cash | usmcgs
12/11/2015 11:48 | What can possibly be leaking, we've still got 3 site visits before Xmas, they can't be leaking thoughts before they attend. The 2 that have attended already, will not have decided yet, so no leaks there either. We are cashed up with circa £1m in the bank predicted at Xmas. Reason for fall is selling by the two institutions namely City and CQS. Oracle have been adding but haven't been able to take up all the slack and we still have a 1.5m overhang should City and CQS be exiting completely. It's just a supply and demand issue, it's not a leaky ship (this time anyway). We remain an even stronger buy but the probable sale price may come under a little pressure should this continue. Ones own view is now the lower end of my $80-120m sale/jv price. | sir andrew ffoulkes

12/11/2015 09:21 | The 20:1 consolidation doesn't look wise now, since it allows shorters to profit, which they couldn't easily have done before it! | ![]() soldi
12/11/2015 05:35 | 2 site visits completed, 3 more scheduled in before the end of the year. There's definitely interest in condor but at what price is the question. As MC said, he expects multiple of the share price when it was at 43p. Would be an absolute bargain at the moment to the acquire | dishan121
12/11/2015 05:33 | Some very sad people on this site with the bashers out in force. If it's doomed go away. Why waste your breath here. The share price bears no relation to the value of the company or the price on a sale. Time will tell but when the doom monger so are out in force very often the good times are just around the corner. | ![]() 888icb
11/11/2015 23:49 | Sadly a very fair summation.I would add that if the junior explorer has anything worthwhile then it'll be snapped up by a major long before the stockmarket entertains a mining Renaissance.Sometime | ![]() steeplejack
11/11/2015 20:40 | The resource sector is in a massive bear market. The big boys are running out of money & mothballing hundreds of projects. Paul Scott wrote this the other day"Warning about junior resources sector"I want to warn readers, that in my opinion, we are likely to see numerous junior resources companies de-list from AIM. There are so many of them, hundreds, and many simply have no reason to exist any more - they can't fund projects, as resources prices are too low, so the logical outcome is that many of these companies will run out of money, and de-list.Therefore if you do speculate in this area, you need to be incredibly careful, as a lot of these things are likely to become 100% losses, sooner or later. Many were just stock promotions in the first place, with no real commercial prospects - a bit like most of the China AIM stocks, the original purpose was clearly to relieve gullible external investors of their money, not to enrich them!I think you're crazy if you speculate in these things at all, but if you do, then there's only one thing that matters - cash. How much does the company have in the bank, and what is the rate of cash burn?Many/most are going to be de-listed due to NOMAD resignations I expect. All the more so, because the number of NOMADs is shrinking, and many are realising (belatedly) that it's not worth the hassle, and reputational damage, to represent dodgy companies. So the only sensible approach, for anyone other than experts in the sector, is to have an automatic bargepole for all junior resources stocks, unless perhaps if they are producers, and have plenty of cash in the bank.- See more at: | ![]() harebridge
11/11/2015 18:58 | We are all paying for that dreadful RNS about the stragetic review. I should have taken the advice and sold . Even a very large loss is better than a total one! Mc has not stepped up to the mark recently . He has not done anything to allay investors worries. This will drop and drop and drop until he does or this drops to zero! That is in 11 trading days time at this rate!!! | jeanesy2
11/11/2015 18:53 | Dishan there is. The SR will be over by Feb. If there is no deal he will need a placing. Even if he has £1m year end it won't last forever and he can't just wait | usmcgs |
