19/9/2012 09:31 | Just closing the gap. Probably a good thing that the moonshoot didn't materialise yesterday. | rame4
19/9/2012 08:25 | why the drop in share price | sharerat
19/9/2012 08:23 | Worth having a look at MWA guys. I reckon MWA is on about 1x cashflow producing 70k oz gold p.a. and with a total resource of over 4m oz MWA Market Cap is only c.$90m | scientologyweirdo
19/9/2012 06:31 | I think there was talk about 5m+ oz at one stage on here. The fact that there are still plenty of veins to be drilled and we have a huge area supports that view. | scientologyweirdo
18/9/2012 22:19 | Bloody brilliant!! We have the best 'junior' on AIM and by far the best leader. £5 at least medium term. With all the veins being in a kind of confluence who knows how much AU MC will find for us eventually. Maybe B2B will now find it unaffordable and we can go it alone.Who knows??? | panamabob2
18/9/2012 21:20 | "Rule had this to say regarding the mining shares: "The mining shares have been rebounding nicely, and I suspect that will continue to be the case. I continue to believe that the higher quality developmental gold juniors, the ones that have grade, and are financially accretive for acquirers will do well." | sunjammer
18/9/2012 20:23 | I think it's worth watching again and again - he's very entertaining. Especially funny is the operation screw rant. All bodes well for gold investors. | rame4
18/9/2012 19:55 | Three cheers for Mark. Thanks | plasybryn
18/9/2012 17:13 | Mark Childs has surprised and delighted us with much more gold than we expected. You can not underestimate this man. He is now telling us this is a GAME CHANGER. anyone want to argue ? He has a dynamite story to take with him to North America to investors very receptive to the Dollar weakening/Gold strength story. you think they will argue ? | scientologyweirdo
18/9/2012 16:28 | Copied from LSE thread by Scarfarce81 Did others get the email sent out by mark child himself this time? Usually it holly that sends out RNS info but obviously Mark extremely happy with the RNS! The resource update is a "Game Changer" for Condor. The company has been viewed as an underground mine, with the associated higher capex costs and muted response from investors who generally prefer the relative simplicity of open pit mining; although one should bear in mind 25% of annual global gold production is from underground. The recently completed 7,000m drilling has conclusively proved that in La India Valley several veins coalesce or merge to form much wider gold mineralised zones that are amenable to open pit mining. This discovery by Condor's able team of 6 geologists has resulted in SRK Consulting producing an independent resource update with an initial open pit resource of 970,000 oz gold at 3.7g/t using a 1g/t cut off. This is a really high grade open pit resource; importantly, the higher category of indicated resource is 550,000 oz gold at 4.0g/t within the open pit. La India Project resource now stands at 2.4m oz gold + 46%, comfortably exceeding the year end target of 2m oz gold. The resource in the indicated category is 751,000 oz gold + 285%. This provides Condor sufficient indicated resources to proceed with further economic studies. Kind Regards, Mark | serious punter
18/9/2012 16:28 | Brilliant RNS today and excellent share price movement. It has had a stellar run in the last couple of weeks and there was every expectation that some would sell on news. That didn't happen to any great extent which bodes well especially as there is more news expected. | psolomons

18/9/2012 16:13 | Anyone aware of MCs schedule in N.America over the next little while??Be good to know--then we can anticipate possible futhur price movements. | panamabob2
18/9/2012 15:14 | In total agreement with many about the long term outlook here and potential ii interest. I think Mark Child will be happy about how the share price has remained (fairly) constant today. We all know how AIM works? Today tells me people are actually starting to take Condor seriously. I've got a lot of faith in the company and it could be massive if they can raise enough money to start production. That would certainly yield a higher price for an eventual acquisition. | frankel2
18/9/2012 14:25 | These results are so good, I can see there being a mention in the press tomorrow. Also as Jibbo said on the LSE thread, give the a yanks a few days to do some DD and we'll probably see some ii buying. | serious punter
18/9/2012 14:12 | Have people had the Email from the Chairman today ? Talk about revving this up. MC is going to be telling this story aggressively in North America in coming weeks and it will go down well. As they say over there. If you wanna come with MC you'd better come with him ! | scientologyweirdo

18/9/2012 13:08 | Courtesy of shareminator on lse: *Buckets at the ready folks! Having options available is a desirable factor and one which Condor Gold are not short of. I sometimes imagine this investment as a game of Chess. Condor Gold is a minor player, a pawn in comparison to some of the medium (Knight/Bishop) to larger (Rook/Queen) tier companies on the market/board... With careful management a pawn can reach the end of the board and become a larger piece. This is not common in the world of chess, as many will either fail or be exchanged (pawn swap). A pawn is not highly regarded (similar to most AIM listed Miners in the current climate...). However when a pawn poses a threat to a more valuable piece the opposition will take notice and move to take out that pawn! This is a unique situation and often requires good strategy to move the pawn into a threatening position in the first place. MC is moving this pawn forward and we are now in a very desirable position on the board. In contrast to Condor, most pawns only have one route through to the opposite board edge (ie. self financing to production) because for whatever reason, noone wants a piece of their project. However like a pawn in free space, Condor Resources has multiple options available to it. It can go for the opposite board edge or take up a position to threaten opposing pieces (as explained above). All players will know, going for the opposite board edge is very difficult to achieve; many pawns do not reach the other side and this is always takes years to achieve! In mining terms many companies will struggle to prove up a commercially viable resource and then raise the funds necessary to go it alone. This is the slowest means of creating value for your pawn, however if achieved it IS the most profitable (i.e. through Queen promotion). Many pieces are usually sacrificed along the way if the route through is not well planned... Condor Gold is in such a strategically desirable position that enemy pieces/ Gold producers will want to take it out. There isn't a direct threat to these Majors in ignoring the La India resource but there is the threat of their ever depleting Gold reserves. Acquisitions by the bigger players are necessary in order to continue sustainable Gold production and company growth. As Chess enthusiasts, we understand strategy is vital which is why we are so lucky to have Mark as our team captain! Check mate in 2013 guys :) ps. we still have the largest gold resource and now the largest open pit gold resource in Nicaragua. A major achievement for a small cap explorer in Latin America. - "There are no major gold producers operating in Central America because most of the gold deposits in the region do not meet the multi-million ounce cut-off major producers seek." | sunjammer

18/9/2012 12:57 | It would very welcome if Condor was to have an old fashioned premptive rights issue to fund requirements going forward.Too much to ask for i suppose, more likely to have a bumper placing, but it's a thought albeit an overly optimistic one. | steeplejack
18/9/2012 12:53 | Been reading about El Salvador at the weekend. From memory they are moving to suspend ALL metallic mining until they can set up the right environmental and mining controls that are required. This could be a softening of their position and likely a result of the Tau report that might lead to a re-introduction of mining in El Salvador. This would seriously bring CNR's 1m oz back into play. | molatovkid |
