The fact remains Condor Gold have been trying to acquire this last piece of land for well over a year.
I remember members writing here that it was a poor country and this owner was not wealthy and it wouldn't be too long before they sold.
How wrong can you be!

When you know somebody wants something badly and you are the only one who can provide it, you ask an eye watering premium for it.
Poor these people/country may be, but stupid they are not.

This landowner is going to get his price, and he doesn't care if it is Mark or someone else who pays it.
All this landowner has to do is wait to enter millionaires row...and we now all know that he can wait.. which makes him a very powerful beast.
He holds all the cards and everyone knows it.

Quite frankly I don't think Mark Childs cares anymore, the passion he had before I think has long gone.
Condor Gold's future, is as shaky as Mark Child's 'belief'.

What about the compliance of the law about the usage of the 1% of the concession land? .

Don’t assume cnr will not have a complaint in this front too.

It would be weird we give the locals water but don’t allow them to have access to the land to get wood for their cooking.

Problem is we have at least one “unclear”; contract, imho with a condor’s mistake which derived from the previous conversations that took place before the contract was signed. This no doubt could weight against condor if they go to a fair court. Cnr lied to this man by saying to him he will always be able to work in his former land, that is the reason that explains how the contract was written: ambiguous…..I believe if there is ambiguity then the law will tend to protect the weakest stakeholder.

Let’s see what condor does, I guess condor will study the claim submitted to the ministry (probably by a lawyer) and decide what it’s chances are to success

This should be done by friendly meeting between able adults, ot through the tribunals, and not visiting old people at home when they are alone and sound intimidating.

I want shareholders to prosper but not to the expenses of being unfair and a bully bcs it will backfire.

U are right money talks, and I believe this guy may receive some compensation if he has a valid claim, or alternatively cnr will do the required addendum the contract speaks about (grey area, big error imho) to allow him to keep working till industrial usage starts . U can’t push him so easily , he has money to buy advice.

Yes book5 seems obsessed about the artisanal miners all of a sudden - listen hard, they will have no bearing on negotiations with potential buyers, does anyone really think the likes of Barrack, Glencore or any other major or mid cap would be concerned about a handful of locals.

Money talks, the mine will create 1000's of local jobs, even a minnow like Caracal Gold employ 800 locals.

For some reason book5 seems to be creating a lot of fog and mist on proceedings, it's like he does not want Condor investors to prosper - one wonders why.

does it matter? the company has decided to sell its assets. Commercial negotiations are underway as the company dresses itself up for sale of its assets. Artisanal miners had the chance to do a deal but for whatever reason decided not to and in brinkmanship hold out and try and extract a better deal. Greedy springs to mind. Any sale now appears to be happening without them. It looks as if they've been finessed out. Tough.

I do not have contacts with condor employees

This is not a big deal, but it seems cnr does not want to solve it in favor of Me E.O, instead has offered artisanal miner contracts to mr EO employees to work in the same area they have been working so far; probably to undermine mr OE status and divide the miners??

I am not selling my shares for this
But the point is cnr should be winning the population and avoiding conflicts
We pay to MC to do this, don’t we?

Whichever way you look at it 'book5' posts have accelerated well beyond the persons normal levels since Condor put the 'for sale' notice up - something has bucked this poster up.

Suggest again to 'book5' he may wish to consider that a buyer may be total bar$tards to the alluvial miners, well beyond that of Condor's capabilities.

The above seems to have been ignored by book5, maybe he should relay this to Mr E.O. and others - it is worth consideration.

He may have some local contacts but why, all of a sudden, when you are dealing with a potential transaction worth hundreds of millions of $ does he try to suggest a handful of locals are really relevant at all ???

I believe mr EO has a case that should be heard
And I suggest that MC should be demoted bcs he can’t , or don’t bother to communicate with the locals directly , it is not point to put objectives to the local managers blindly when them do not favour cnr interests, nor my pocket

MC knows who I am

By the record I am trying to make sure uk managers are aware of what is happening, in case they don’t. Hopefully this is not again 2017 when local managers apparently cheated MC by creating a false picture of the reality

I think the purpose and effect of putting D Eke on the BoD is to solidify Jim Mellon's control of the company, to make sure the outcome is in line with his interests. I believe Ian Stalker is a long-standing Mellon acolyte. It's possible Mellon is concerned Child may need to be over-ruled at some point. Now Mellon can be confident of at least 3/6 votes even if MC stops following orders. Not absolute control but a great improvement.

Apparently Mr E.O put a complain to the Ministry of mines on the 11th of November as cnr did not respond to him.
He needs a fair hearing rather than…….
