edjge I sold out of my jnug rather reluctantly a couple of days ago but I've just bought back in. We're in a different situation with gold now. It's gonna be harder to trade so I think i'm going to stay with it for a while.
CNR though looks like it might break that earlier low after what should have been a rerate back to the 30's. Admin stuff now impacting and potentially quite damaging until sorted.

Simply an early profit taking exercise - 21p goers then we're off.
Gold breaking $1400 overnight won't any harm. Genuine breakout and more to come but expect volatility. It's the miners though where the best returns will be realized.
The etf's gdx, gdxj, nugt and jnug will go mental. They'll help to drag the mining co's with them.

B2 Gold are operating a successful gold mine nearby so it certainly can be done and Condor have good relations with the authorities in the country so it should all be achievable.

888,

They re a long way off from producing any gold in a country with political problems, that's probably why.

Disappointing that with gold doing so well and several gold shares showing some big rises today Condor hasn’t joined the party and has actually gone down!

There's an extremely good chance gold will be above $1400oz within the next 7-10 days.
Expect potentially serious volatility after hours on Wednesday as the fomc meeting give their decision but it's likely to be the 'comment' that comes with it that'll be more significant.
The gold mining etf's will track the gold price closely.

Why would they sell into 'any' rises??
Pure guesswork and of course they may equally decide to hold for some considerable time or at least to a price target worth their while. If you have any insight into who picked up the stock then that might support your flimsy argument.

If there have been large numbers of shares sold then there must have been corresponding numbers of shares bought. This means there is a block of holders at sub 20p who will, no doubt, sell into any rises.

The only way to counter the share price fall caused by a persistent seller of a total of 10% of the shares is for someone out there who doesn't own any now to be desperate to buy 10%. If you like, the exact reversal situation.

Well there's only one way a share heads after the selling pressure has evaporated.
The ii's offloading such a large amount in a relatively short space of time and in what is a fairly illiquid stock was always going to end in tears and hence the break below the Dec 2016 low.
In the meantime gold has bounced and is on the second leg of the new bull and the miners are beginning to motor in tandem. Identifying a depressed and well oversold stock in an increasingly bullish market is quite rare. It was overstretched to the downside with the unrelenting disposals - watch what happens now the pendulum has begun to swing the other way. Could get quite volatile over the coming days/weeks
Gl.

"Dear All,

The IFC has confirmed in writing that it has completed its divestment of Condor Gold plc, see attached released today. This is due to a change of investment strategy, the IFC has exited over 20 exploration companies including: Hummingbird, Lydian, Rio Tinto/Simandou, Aureus, Unigold. The former IFC Head of Global Mining and the number two left a couple of years ago. The new head of Global Mining only wants to invest debt in very large projects.

The IFC has been delighted with the operational performance of Condor Gold, being granted the permits to construct and operate a mine, gaining the social licence to operate, expanding the mineral resource, expanding the permits for the feeder pits, expanding the concession package etc. Condor has been providing the IFC with a quarterly Environmental and Social Report, when only an annual report is required. The latest Q1 2019 report has been edited for our website: hxxp://www.condorgold.com/csr/environment#tab=2

The IFC started selling its 5.5M shareholding in January 2019, see announcements, it has gradually sold its entire shareholding in the market, which has suppressed the share price. Furthermore, City Financial went into administration in March 2019 and was a forced seller of a 5% shareholding in Condor in the market. The overhang of shares is now removed; is is encouraging that the market has absorbed selling of over 10% of the Company’s shares. Both share sells are for reasons specific to the sellers and unrelated to the assets of the Company, which are in excellent shape and never been better. I suspect the IFC selling marks the low in the share price.

Regards

Mark

Good to see Condor at number 7 on the leader board up 15%. Let’s hope now the sellers are out that we continue the rise for some time.

not a bad day. Ok volume. If it breaks 21p then i'd say there's definitely some catch-up on the way. Gold bouncing aswell won't do any harm. If the gold mining etf's are doing well then it bodes well for the sector.
