These buying Directors should watch out as this, in my opinion, constitutes insider dealing........

Well-timed announcement, coming after a very positive day in the US for Iraq war-related company profits announcements. Let's hope that some movement substantially above 30p will be seen in the next few days. This seems a very undervalued company with huge expansion potential, IMHO.

We haven't had any news lately regarding the telecommunications aspects of CNC's business. The apparent pick-up of market conditions being reported by other telecom-support companies recently ought to be positive for CNC, whose market profile must also be receiving a big recommendation for quality and long-term reliability from its expanding military contracts. Regarding predictions for telecom traffic growth, and the associated onboard computer applications for handling this which will be required, CNC are well placed to get a big share of this market. Joining the ICA should substantially increase the chances of winning numerous small contracts as part of broader support packages.

I don't believe they will try to hold this price with such small volumes even though there is hardly any liquidity in this stock. It will only take a couple of small profit takers to drop it back to 21/2. I'm well peed off that I missed it. I have been monitoring it so closely since that piece of fake news. Hopefully there will be another opportunity. I agree with Lisa - this is a pension share.

i managed to get more SRTS before todays bounce (similar to CNC they had non-fatal bad news - they lost CEO Monday although there is contention whether this was a bad or good thing..however market fell to 16-19...)

Vernit - I came here this morning to post just such a thought. And what about the legal aspect of contract - are the contract terms with the supplier such that the supplier cannot be held to be in breach? Was there any contractual arrangement at all, or were they simply buying a seemingly simple component from the local wholesaler over the counter as and when required? I can't help be suspicious that CNC have been doing things 'on the cheap' and have been caught out.

One point intrigues me and that is why CNC were not able to negotiate an extension to this key product of several months rather than accept immediate obsolescence. Either the terms for such an extension were too steep or the supplier had a catastrophe that brought forward a decision to make this product obsolescent. If the latter, would the financial loss not be covered under a normal consequential loss insurance policy (to include catatrophes of key suppliers). If CNC does not have such insurance in place what is to say that lightning will not strike twice ?

Lisa this is now cheap as chips. The question is when it will hit bottom cos I'm waiting to get back in? I bought at 24 and sold at 30 the last time.
If you have e-mailed me I'm sorry for not replying - my mail has a virus and is not safe to use.

Good Morning,

Well what a bu..er!!!

Out of their control and could not be seen coming.

Doesen't stop this being a great prospect company underpinned by its untouched divi but a set back for 12months.

I will be back in at a later date.

Lisa :(

Bit of a spanner in the works with the announcment this morning, but it's not bad news by any means long term... I still have faith here.

Today's RNS announcement of a supplier's immediate obolescence of a key component in embedded computer technology is a serious blow to confidence (and share price). There may be further ramifications as regards availability of spares and any teething problems that arise with the rushed replacement mods, despite CNC's customers being prepared to wait for mods. to be made.
