23/4/2010 05:03 | Anomalous - 5 Dec'05 - 02:11 - 35134 of 59023 It wouldn't be politic for me to mention his name on the BB. ADVFN does have rules about this after all. Suffice to say that he posts on ADVFN (infrequently ) under the Logon ID Cougar6. He likes to be known as a West Country Entreprenuer and lives next door to Pete Townsend. He's incredibly smart and a very astute business man. He once negotiated a deal and when the sellers counter-offered with a higher price, he dropped his price and WON! He is a bona fide genius and if the worst happened (which is starting to look less likely now), then none of the shareholders would come out of it with nothing. Well, I wonder whether it was the BEC deal being referred to in the above post. Possible I suppose and a little further research needed. I suppose it could be that BEC was in negotiation with EPA and later EPE and ultimately EPE (COMG) signed the deal when EPE withdrew. | loverat
23/4/2010 04:54 | Now, I wonder whether it was the same school. If so perhaps that might explain some of the negativity on that thread. Alternatively it may have been a different school in the area but a competitor to BEC the aquisition of which was announced around and after some of the posts. | loverat
23/4/2010 04:42 | And this is what Anomalous was referring to here...... Anomalous - 24 Jul'04 - 01:39 - 244 of 294 It amazes me, the directors of this company are so incompetent, that they pick one loser after another. They think a move from Hi-Tech to Education will save them. Then they invest in a school on which they can not agree terms and take on more directors (at greater cost) just to give themselves the expertise. In my opinion, they are using this company as a gravy train, lining their pockets and funding their expenses at the shareholders' expense. The only expertise these directors have is of being losers. It's time for new management. | loverat
23/4/2010 04:40 | Now, a year later that potentail investment in a school 'near the South Coast' fail through. RNS Number:3138Z enterpriseAsia PLC 02 June 2004 EPA also announces that a possible acquisition of a 37.5% interest in a UK private school (mentioned at the time of the EGM in August 2003) has not come to fruition since the parties were not able to agree satisfactory terms. | loverat
23/4/2010 04:38 | Yes - I think that's the one. On the subject of Enterprise Asia (EPA) there are one or two similarities to the business model here. First it was into internet companies I believe and then went into education. It then went into waste management. The interesting bit that would perhaps explain the negative posts is their entrance into education assets: See RNS below: 11 August 2003 Proposed Acquisition The Company has identified a business operating in the education sector which is expected to provide regular cash dividends to the Company and create some synergy with the Company's new strategy. The Company is in the process of negotiating to acquire a 37.5% interest in a private day school near the South Coast of England, which generated total profits after tax of approximately #450,000 in its last financial year and is featured in The Times Top 50 Prep Schools. It is proposed that the school's existing management team will continue to develop the school and identify and manage other UK schools that the Company intends to acquire going forward. | loverat
22/4/2010 19:40 | He sounds like a Falmouth foulmouth to me. | festering pustule
22/4/2010 19:37 | Festering Pustule Yes - that is one thing that surprised me a bit. Particularly since someone once described him on here as 'incredibly smart' and a 'first rate businessman'. About the van - I understand that he owns a company called Cougar Carriers. I believe the company has white vans with a picture of a cougar on it. | loverat
22/4/2010 19:23 | And this has got to be the most comical post I have ever read........ My Way - 30 Jul'04 - 16:25 - 250 of 294 the board should be infront of the fsa for the info they gave out as they do not apperar to have any interests in china . | loverat
22/4/2010 14:53 | Be very wary of those who seek to advise you to sit tight. Problems do not just disappear. Best thing you can do is remove yourself from the influence of those who would drag you down with them. | loverat
22/4/2010 14:24 | These are his user names - two 100% confirmed now and the other two 95% but being confirmed. There is also one other being looked into for posts made post London Asia Capital suspension. If confirmed that might be quite interesting too. There are also others I think, but not worth bothering about. 'cougar6' 'tennis elbow', 'A0456717' 'My Way' | loverat
22/4/2010 14:14 | Personnaly I feel that he really did not know what was going on as far as London Capital Asia is concerned. I also sense the same here. I am sure Keith Negal will deal with with the more serious issues. However, one does need to consider his posting history and whether it meets the required standard. | loverat
21/4/2010 21:18 | O.K I used to like making little poems on this site. A challenge - who can make a little poem which includes these two locations: Milton Keynes and Harrow | loverat
21/4/2010 19:27 | Lots more interesting and perhaps stronger stuff being uncovered folks. Being collated and being forwarded to the appropriate authorities. The focus still on two potential offenders. Anyone who would like a copy of my findings so far in regard to regard bulletin board postings can e-mail me at Loverat66@yahoo.co.u The cases are getting stronger and stronger by the day and will be pursued all the way. | loverat
21/4/2010 04:42 | Been busy over the last few weeks so not been able to follow this up. COMPULSORY STRIKE OFF SUSPENDED (DISS16(SOAS)) Would be interested to know who initiated the above. My understanding is that strike off suspensions are usually as a result of creditors filing an objection. I suppose the other possibility is that the directors have requested it. However, not sure on what possible grounds considering the state the company is in. Will check but welcome any views in the meantime. | loverat
19/4/2010 15:16 | Regarding the legal actions I referred to, in theory if the appeal succeeds there is the prospect of further actions on top of those still running. Perhaps up to a couple of dozen. I would suggest that those who may be affected read EPD, CDG, AFD, NML and LGB threads. Lots of information there. In fact, a goldmine of useful stuff. Look at the spats on the threads. Some hilarious stuff also. | loverat
19/4/2010 15:03 | Yes - I vaguely recall seeing it but seems that I did not save it. Interestingly, more stuff was dug up over the weekend going back to 2005/2006 elsewhere. Some of the stuff could potentially be of help to people who are still under threat of legal action. There is also further specific information which may be relevant concerning the offenders here. | loverat
19/4/2010 12:26 | Very interesting, saved. Thank you for posting. | debaleb |
