Agree with you and can't understand why the drop between Friday and this morning unless there is a big sell coming up, which I doubt. Looks like the MM's just decided to drop last minute thinking there would be a sell off first thing this morning, which didn't happen. Strange but it's not the first time I've seen the price drop for no apparent reason over the years on many shares, and against market sentiment may I add?

RE: RE: SpainSpain is a waste of time and effort, we are much better off without it and I’m sure LK would agree, just need to try and make the best of the situation financially. Can’t see how the share price can drop on this news, the sooner we are fully rid of Spain the better

Hi ccr,

You forgot to add in the Mayors nieces, nephews and cousins!

We had a few places, Cala Tarida, San Ant, and a great little place outside of Ondara, a place called Orbeta, up in the mountains overlooking the orange and Olive groves. Great place and great people, I used to play peloto with the locals. Had many a happy year out there and even found my first love at 4 years old out there "Maria", still remember her after all these years!! All changed.

Still go on the odd occasion when my cousins want to see me :) Quite handy really. And anyone wondering if the Guardia Civil use their guns, I can tell you they do, my cousin is one and they took me out one night and showed me how they work. Scary stuff, they don't pay for anything, where ever they go they get their drinks for free, all or most drink heavily and really know how to have a good time...

Where about's John?

If the bb creator is still about it would be handy if the links in the header could be moved into their own scroll down box like the charts are in. Save having to scroll down through them all on each visit.

That is if you had a bit of time and were inclined to do so.

Cheers

I also have an apartment in Spain , I don’t rent it and spend about 3months of the year out there . I see first hand the nepotism, good and bad , I would wager mr Koot is a little to straight to have got the Spanish ‘assett ‘ back ,the Local Town Hall would have wanted a nice BIG bung imo .

Adoption of the euro. Euro banknotes and coins were introduced in Spain on 1 January 2002, after a transitional period of three years when the euro was the official currency but only existed as 'book money'.

LOL Edgar,

It just had to rattle some cages didn't it, either way I can only say what I see.

No offence intended to you or any of the re-moaners, we all have the right to an opinion, including you and yours. I wouldn't judge anyone for having an opinion and I say what I see through direct experience and the same for my family's, now you may not like that, but it's a fact. And I say what I say about CERP for those exact reasons, I don't want to see them wasting shareholder monies in areas that will be a dead loss. Simples...

To put it into perspective, when the peseta was replaced by the Euro, the value of one of the family's hotels went down by the equivalent of over 600,000 pounds overnight, so I can tell you this was the effect for sure, now again you might well disagree, but that's your choice.

Sorry all, OT also but John, If you look back at the timings you'll probably find that the loss would have started at the time the country went into the EU and currency was devalued, my family lost a lot of money due to property devaluation because of the EU and the move from the peseta to the Euro, worst thing the country ever did, like many others, the thought of never ending riches and supply of monies from the Eurobanks made them feel it was the best option, but it wans't. If you look back in history spain had always been a very wealthy country and it could always self support, even in the bad times. Well they can't now, they have been asset stripped and have been made reliant on hand outs from the EU. The begging bowl is out.

I say this from my own and family's experience. So when I look at CERP getting out from a EU member state, I am pleased to see it and hopefully this will allow them to concentrate on more lucrative areas like in T&T, much more potential and less of a drain on investment & returns.

I still love Spain and the people, just wouldn't ever buy another property out there now. I remember Ibiza at the age of 4 when there were no cars, all dusty roads and pristine beaches and sea. All changed.

SmoggyG/12bn - just point me to your post where you predicted that CERP would not be able to compete for a new concession in Spain - if you can I will gladly give you credit for it! BTW most investors here believe this outcome to be positive so let's see what happens over the next few days!

Congratulations on your Goudron water flood theory BTW which seemed to be that someone had pulled the plug and the bath water had escaped!

O/TMProblem is though MikeI bought it 14 years ago and since then at one stage it had lost 54% of its value. It has recovered a little bit but is still down 33% and when I bought it 14 years ago So I was hoping to be able to rent it out until it went up in value. I bought off plan and was basically a ghost town but now has a prestigious golf course , amazing mountain views salt lake views and over lemon anf orange groves. And I did really fall in love with the place the area the people such a beautiful place. One thing is for sure I really don't have the Midas touch .... is morelike Midas ouch!!!

Either a large sale coming or the MM's misread this news and dropped the values thinking there was going to be a sell off, but that's not happening, in fact people are lapping the shares up like treacle! :P go get em while there available people....

Hi guys,

And I can tell you it's only going to get worse, we sold up 10 years ago, the family still own 2 prestigious hotels out there but to be honest with the way the EU are taking its member states it's only going to get worse.

Best off out..

Is there any difference between LGO under NR and Cerp under LK? NR kept LGO going by diluting shareholders again and again. The share price fell and fell until it hit 0.12p (2.4p new money). When LK took over the share price jumped, which I didn't expect but since then Cerp has acted like NRs LGO by issuing more and more shares, same old method. I just wonder if Spain will be used as another excuse to raise more cash with a 3p placing? Will LK do an NR and consolidate the shares once again,20:1? I sold out at 3p old money, that's 60p new money and I did right to do so. I feel sorry for those that held all the way down to 0.12p!
