07/6/2014 13:38 | Not a new post on the main thread since May 25th, has everybody lost interest in Colt the carthorse. I was bored enough to look to the past and the posts on this thread are over the last 8 years. It is interesting to read through them again and realise just how bad an investment Colt has been. I wonder if Bhasin and his board of duffers ever read what investors think of him and his monumental failures. I wonder if the dinosaurs at Fidelity wake up from their comatose slumber and read about it. | robwt

17/5/2014 12:09 | Note that FMR LLC owns 15% of Rackspace. If Fidelity is happy for Rackspace to be taken over, perhaps, Fidelity will look at a similar development for Colt as well. Rackspace has a market value of circa £3 billion currently Rackspace was the biggest NYSE gainer on Friday against this news background and it probably explains the turnaround in Colt's share price on Friday. As you suggest, dealy, Colt's share price performance should track developments at Rackspace. By the way, thanks, Mirko, for that find. A nice win again for Ethernet. I note, though, that there were an awful lot of awards given out. | dickbush
17/5/2014 08:57 | Rackspace up sharply this week in the US on results and then Takeover interest. should add some Juice to colt next weeek | dealy
16/5/2014 17:19 | buywell..I can't see how chartists make these forecasts on a company where the amount of shares floating or available is minimal. In the book Market Wizards, most of the great success stories ignored charts. The charts also missed the 2007/8 meltdown. Nobody really knows where Colt will be next week or Xmas, if you believe in the charts, what are you shorting?...having said that, if they are 100p, I might buy some more. | robwt
16/5/2014 15:08 | Fidelity, Including InfoTech, owns 64.2% of Colt's shares. See page 57 of the 2013 Annual Report. | dickbush
16/5/2014 15:01 | Bought themselves a few weeks more buywell2 8 May'14 - 09:30 - 5780 of 5794 0 0 edit Chart suggests that the chart downtrend could now recommence A RHS shoulder at just over 120p for several weeks is a possible If that happens then 100p by xmas dyor | buywell2
16/5/2014 14:55 | DB...More not less as I read it. FMR LLC now controls the voting rights over 382,392,217 shares (42.72% of the voting rights) of Colt Group S.A. This change from 35.98% to 42.72% is due to a transfer of 60,312,891 shares from InfoTech Fund I LLC to FMR LLC on 15 May 2014. | robwt
16/5/2014 14:48 | Can anyone give a reason why the shares transfer is taking place? After all, InfoTech Fund I LLC is owned by the shareholders and employees of FMR. Any reason why InfoTech Fund is left with slightly less than 5%? | dickbush
16/5/2014 11:16 | Interesting, but frightening. Read the other article below it 'Stocks to fall 50% in 2014'. If Colt fall any more, the company will be worth buttons. | robwt
14/5/2014 17:18 | Carrier voice sector closing down 85% of its contracts. There's Euro 30 mil of "exceptional" costs associated with the move. That's a lot of people, especially if they're not upper management. Payoff to EBITDA in 2015...always jam tomorrow. | dickbush
14/5/2014 15:05 | Further to the post above, I hear that Colt are culling quite a number of people. Don't know the amounts, but sadly it isn't from the management so far. | robwt
14/5/2014 13:47 | Colt down 3% on very thin trading and nothing happening. I suppose we are in for another period of challenging times from Bhasin & Co. 14 years of challenging times and billions of shareholder funds gone down a black hole, while the buffoons collect their fatcat wages. Fire the lot of them and bring in Forrest Gump to run the company. | robwt
14/5/2014 11:13 | AT&T apparently out of the European acquisition game for the time being. | dickbush
09/5/2014 08:35 | same story but worth a read hxxp://www.computerw | palace andy
08/5/2014 14:17 | I'm in the same boat, robwt. I sold mine at a reasonable profit only to watch them continue skyward, meanwhile staying with Colt. | dickbush
08/5/2014 13:27 | DB....don't rub it in LOL. | robwt
08/5/2014 11:13 | Happy shareholders over at BT. Divi up 15% and the promise of further, 10-15% increases over the next two years. EBITDA Margin 33.4%. Net Debt down to less than 1.2 times EBITDA. BT is one of the strongest incumbents in Europe. | dickbush
08/5/2014 09:30 | Chart suggests that the chart downtrend could now recommence A RHS shoulder at just over 120p for several weeks is a possible If that happens then 100p by xmas dyor | buywell2
08/5/2014 09:12 | hxxp://www.telecomtv The interesting comment I picked up is that what KVH (Fidelity backed) is doing in Japan and now extending out to Asia Pacific region, Colt are doing in Europe. I still wonder that if Fidelity are ever going to sell Colt they might try and tie it in somehow with a KVH sale. | palace andy |
