I sold CHRT at a substantial profit to avoid the potential risk of a change in the IHT treatment of AIM listed stocks which could have dragged on the share price
That risk seems to have receded.
I'm now minded to re-enter. |
I think your right on a min 12 pound bid. Given the age of the directors I wonder at what point they may wish to cash out and have a happy retirement.Or.. a bid comes along for which for the bigger companies we are small fry. Interesting times. |
This would be absolutely flying if shroders weren't selling a few |
Any bid has to be north of 1200 imho. One for the ISA!!! |
Or big contract , must be something causing this |
Yes you have to wonder! At least 1200? |
Breaking out nicely, I do wonder if a bid is coming soon, fingers crossed for a good one if so |
Yes good to see while the footsie is falling |
52 week breakout high |
Defence budget increased by 2.9 billion quid next year |

That's true. Joining FTSE250 also increases liquidity as funds tracking the FTSE250 index buy into it.It increases visibility and interest which will mean more investors. Not sure if CHRT needs it - it can also borrow money at cheaper rates. |
Not sure I understand. Chrt can migrate to the main listing of the LSE whenever it wants to. That will involve some additional upfront expense and will incur additional costs each year going forward. If it does it will join around 2000 other companies which have a full listing on the LSE. The FTSE 250 is simply the index of the 250 biggest companies of the 2000. |
Thanks for that ...As I hadn't realised PRTC was bottom of the class.
I might add PRTC has an upcoming readout this qtr which might change that.
But then CHRT looks like its in a good space. |
I meant would CHRT join if it became eligible for FTSE 250?PRTC which is the lowest in FTSE 250 is currently at 348m. CHRT has a market cap of 364m. |
And there are companies much bigger than Chrt who remain aim listed. |
What do you mean? I'm not aware that there is an upper size limit for Aim. |
Market cap |
What "limit" do you mean? |
I have had this in my watchlist for a while having read great things about the team that founded Cohort.I have taken a position.Does anyone know if there are any plans to list this in FTSE 250 once it reaches the limit? |
Ah... UK Navy contract for countermeasures. They beat off the big boys to get it... |
So why are the shares so popular atm? |
Companies like Rheinmetall are content to use Cohort's companies to supply and advise them. The technology is beyond them and they're wise enough to leave it alone. They can afford to buy from Cohort and resell to their own clients who have large wallets |
Errrr...unlilely |
