17/10/2011 18:49 | As of today Blackrock now own 5.05%. They know a bargain when they see one. | lurki0
17/10/2011 08:10 | JRR - I've followed these for years, and just bought back in last week because I also thought the shares undervalued. They are in both civil and defence aero and have some specialist niches. They have about 60% biz in US which means possible bid interest from there. Recent sales flat but this does not seem to have given them a problem with cash flow or profits, and todays contract extension in Oz shows what scope there is. Good luck if you treble up! | bigbertie
15/10/2011 13:49 | Very quiet board. Any holders here? I'm thinking of trebling my holding as I don't think the concerns over defence spending will last into the medium term and Cobham's recent decline looks overdone. Surprised not a murmur in the share price whilst BAE went up on vague rumours of a bid from EADS this week. Any thoughts? | jrr774
09/5/2011 13:19 | Cobham upgraded to buy from neutral at UBS, target price 270p up from 225p. | nellie1973
08/3/2011 19:13 | Appears to be on a roll. If it carries on at this rate it'll be back in the FTSE100. And yet another contract announced today! | raggedglory
03/3/2011 20:59 | I've been a holder for a while, but after reading today's results I must say I was unaware of quite how many niche markets they seem to have a pretty firm grip on. The market seems to like the story going forward, what with the recent plethora of new contracts.Interestin | raggedglory
03/3/2011 11:42 | Strong performance today, on the back of preliminary results. | sjgadvfn

01/3/2011 23:00 | And another nice RNS followed by an share price drop!!!! Cobham Wins US Army Missile Simulation System Order Worth up to $56M HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA - Cobham has been awarded a $4.7 million delivery order for the initial design and development of a mobile Infrared/Ultraviolet (IR/UV) threat simulator for the U.S. Army. As prime system integrator for the Army's Multi-spectral Sea and Land Target Simulator (MSALTS), Cobham's Analytic Solutions strategic business unit could see the contract's total value grow to $56 million if all options are exercised and funded during the next five years. "The MSALTS award is another demonstration of the program positions we can win by bringing together key technologies from different strategic business units across Cobham," said Randy Morgan, president of Cobham Analytic Solutions. "Looking forward, we see great opportunities to market Cobham's capabilities as a whole to deliver technically superior and cost effective solutions to the war fighter." According to the US Army, the MSALTS project will provide the Office of the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) Center for Countermeasures (CCM) and its customers with a portable Infrared/Ultraviolet open-air missile simulator to support multiple simultaneous missile engagement tests and/or missile warning systems. The contract was awarded 7 December 2010 with work in design and development being performed in Alabama, Florida and New Jersey. Options are available for additional systems, and will be exercised by the Government as required. Contract period of performance is 60 months. | johnsoho
28/2/2011 19:14 | Agreed, Jeff. Looks like a well-deserved return to form for a unique business. | raggedglory
28/2/2011 14:11 | Interesting outcome to the US Air Force air tanker replacement programme. The tender was originally won by EADS - a consortium of which Cobham was part - but US politicians kicked up about US company Boeing losing the contract and forced it to be re-tendered, this time producing the 'right' (political!) result and Boeing winning.......but Cobham still get contract for the re-fuelling kit. A case of you win/you win; you lose/you still win! Well done Cobham! | jeffian
20/12/2010 07:36 | Nice RNS today Cobham to supply antennas and avionics for South Korea's utility helicopter MARLOW, United Kingdom: Cobham will provide antennas and avionics for the indigenous Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH), under a multi-million pound long term agreement with the manufacturer, Korean Aerospace Industries Ltd. Cobham Antenna Systems, part of the Cobham Defence Systems Division, will supply a suite of communications and navigation antennas manufactured in the UK alongside a navigation transceiver manufactured in the US by sister Division Cobham Avionics and Surveillance. Developed in conjunction with Eurocopter, the twin engined KUH "Surion" will be manufactured in Sacheon, South Korea.
