14/7/2012 10:58 | And let us not forget that none of us paid anything for these shares as they came free with our AEY holdings in June when the share price was about 50c. And neither has the share price of AEY dropped since these were issued to us. So, whatever the self-righteous one was hectoring about is likely not applicable. | rhubarbe

03/7/2012 21:35 | Still in the down-channel, but good volume on the rise. Hopefully we have seen the bottom now, I suppose everyone always says that!! | cyberbub
03/7/2012 18:53 | There you go, cyber, up 22.9% as I type. I wonder why though? | rhubarbe
25/6/2012 21:23 | Sigh, looking even worse now... I guess just hold and wait for the recovery, touch wood... | cyberbub
21/6/2012 21:52 | Not the only one though, cyber. | rhubarbe
21/6/2012 21:49 | Well the share graph is looking pretty poor ATM... | cyberbub
20/6/2012 21:56 | A shame that my experience thus far with Canuck shares has not been the happiest. | rhubarbe
20/6/2012 14:36 | Rhu, I'm sure there will also be others that want to stay in or add for the VM shale oil potential later in the year too and the Laguna de Piedra well targeting 34mmbbls this year too. They seem to be hoping to exit the year on 3700-7000boepd with $43-90m in cash flow. That would be quite tidy for a $50m cap company. I plan on holding these for at least 24months but it will all depend on the VM shale results. If that comes in its not gonna stay at $50m cap for very long. :) Captain Nelson Forties | captainnelsonforties
20/6/2012 14:16 | Well, I expect I'll still be here.... | rhubarbe
20/6/2012 13:58 | Oh goodness knows Rhu, it all depends when the sellers dry up. Probably a bit of an overhang caused by AEY holders cashin in freebies. Although since the deal volume has been increasing so the sell off is being met by fresh demand too. Who knows where or when the turning point will come, but it will come at some point. 20/6/2012 08:30 | Cyber, Very attractive terms, 10-14/boe opex, 12-15% royalties and netbacks of $51/boe (page 7 of the march presentation). That's £30m market cap approx for production heading for 3000bopd (not quite there yet but El Valle is doing the business especially when they get the pumps in), P2 around 9mmboe, Cash of $30m. So EV is really about C$20m at present or about £13m for the above. Hardly appropriate for a company that's drilling a 1bn potential oil shale + lots of conventional targets (the shale is a secondary objective in those wells that will target conventional plays). I see that some AEY holders have been dumping their CWV for a profit regardless of it being mispriced at present. Fair play a profit is a profit. I'm more inclined to add at these prices though due to current fundamentals. Future fundamentals could get really silly if they start knocking out shale wells at 300-500bopd a pop. Its a company not afraid of a high wi either due to their increasing production and cash pile. Captain Nelson Forties | captainnelsonforties
19/6/2012 22:32 | CWV seem to be doing pretty well, a 100% recent drill record has to say something, either the company are geniuses, or they are drilling in to a sea of oil!! With 104 million shares and potentially 3000 BOPD in the not too distant future, surely CAD 0.50 per share, for a market cap of about £30M, is farcical? I suppose it is being held back by the Argentina fear, and also the falling oil price? Anyone tell me what their typical netback is per barrel? I have the feeling that it could soon be on a P/E of less than 2?? TIA | cyberbub
17/6/2012 13:31 | Hi canigou2, If you missed the audio, you can now download the audio as a 3.2MB mp3 file from the same presentation link. If you are afraid of following direct links, here is a link to the RNS containing the presentation link: A more direct link to the presentation from the above RNS: I just noticed a new RNS but it has an older presentation/webcast made on June 11, 2012 at SEPAC Spring Investor Showcase: The audio there works but again unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be synchronized with the slides so you will have skip the slides yourself while listening. This presentation is about 22mins long. To save time, I would listen only to the latest presentation audio as it seems to have the same content, it is a little longer at about 28mins in length and the last few slides aren't rushed. Although the audio quality in the shorter presentation (SEPAC Spring Investor Showcase) is much better. Hope that helps.. | uncommon13

El Valle - Golfo San Jorge Basin New Completion EV 33 Crown Point successfully completed a 3.0 meter thick section of the Cañadon Seco formation in the EV 33 wellbore. This zone was perforated and fractured and during a 24 hour swab test the well produced oil at a 24 hour average rate of 268 barrels of oil per day with an oil cut of 94%. A pressure transient analysis / well test interpretation has not been carried out on the well and therefore this data should be considered to be preliminary until such analysis / interpretation has been done. These test results are not necessarily indicative of long-term performance or of ultimate recovery. New Cased Potential Multizone Oil Well EV 32 Crown Point advises that the EV 32 well has been logged and cased as a potential multi-zone oil well. Crown Point is paying 100% of the costs to drill, case, complete and equip the drilling program and will have an 80% interest in production from the wells. EV-36 Crown Point successfully completed a 2.5 metre thick section of the Cañadon Seco formation in the EV 36 wellbore. This zone was perforated and immediately flowed oil. The well during a 24 hour evaluation period flowed oil through a 50 mm choke at a rate of 295 barrels per day with an oil cut of 97%. A pressure transient analysis / well test interpretation has not been carried out on the well and therefore this data should be considered to be preliminary until such analysis / interpretation has been done. These test results are not necessarily indicative of long-term performance or of ultimate recovery. The interval completed in EV 36 is directly correlative with intervals completed in EV 23, 26, 31, 33 and 34. New Drilling Location EV -28 The drilling rig has moved onto the EV-28 location, which is the fifth well to be drilled during this program, and has commenced drilling operations. They sure do like to keep us updated. :) Captain Nelson Forties | captainnelsonforties
14/6/2012 22:38 | Blimey, rhu. I've been on the wagon a few times. Presently and pleasantly off. Keeping it in balance this time. Y'know, 50% of the time sober and 50% of the time ... | ed 123

14/6/2012 22:11 | This has the feel of a well-run company to me. I'm looking for a hime for my DEO money, I think. This gives me more cofidence that the ToM Cross Show. | rhubarbe
14/6/2012 12:57 | Cani, Cheers chap, you should have your shares in your ISA any day. Its probably worth contacting your broker to find out what's going on. Yeah El Valle development seems to be progressing as planned with the multizone oil wells. Even the small zones are producing quite well at circa 300bopd per well. I could see this field pushing CWV over 3000boepd up from the current 1700-2000boepd post AEY argie merger. Hopefully they'll continue their run of successful completions and then we'll get down to the really interesting VM wells before the year end. Once the markets recover a little and I free up some more cash I'll add more here. Looks a real steal given cash, production/reserves and forward drilling program.
