17/1/2023 14:05 | MwT looks a very good fit. | roddiemac2
17/1/2023 11:15 | It’s a 60/40 cash/shares deal, not just cash. They say earnings enhancing from year 1 which is also a good indicator. “Up to $18M” (at £1=$1.20 = up to £15M) so an earnings element too, I assume. For now it’s less and only 60% of it from the cash pile. A maximum cash outlay of £9M. So loads of cash left yet. | bones
17/1/2023 09:13 | I like to think that CML sees this acq. as a significant step in strategy as well as a tactical broadening of the current business. I'm glad that Chris Gurry's words do refer to the strategic aspect, but "multi-year growth strategy..... over the medium term" could have been stronger regarding growth. Can't complain about the recent share price movement but that cash pile building over the last few years did need to be used, and I'm staying positive. "Chris Gurry, CML's Group Managing Director commented: "MwT's dedicated and very experienced team will accelerate our multi-year growth strategy. Their technical knowhow, product range and trading relationships enhance the Group's existing competencies and a shared strong emphasis on cultural synergy and strategic future direction bodes well for the combined businesses over the medium term. CML is committed to supporting MwT's existing customer base globally and, in particular, the USA market." | hew
17/1/2023 08:19 | An acquisition for cash is a bit of a dent in the cash pile They say it will be earnings in the first year UK companies don't have a very good track record for making purchases in the US so it is an open verdict for me currently | ntv
12/1/2023 11:24 | added here again recently as this seems a pretty safe bet for the next year or so | ntv
26/11/2022 08:31 | Agree with you there roddiemac2 There is no rush with the property works/sales as the company is doing well anyway Strip out the cash and the PE is not high for a tech company As ever I would like a pull back to top up! | ntv
23/11/2022 09:09 | Any future sale of surplus land should be seen as icing on the cake. CML is doing very well, and is likely to continue doing so, regardless of if or when the surplus land is sold. The company is reaping the rewards of the considerable sums that they have invested in R&D annually. | roddiemac2
23/11/2022 09:03 | The market appears to like the fact that profits should be well over £4m for the full year Strip out the cash balances and this is currently valued around £55m for the business and the property | ntv
22/11/2022 08:53 | Nothing to get overly excited about in the results Delays in planning until first half of next year means nothing before April/May so maybe a sale around this time next year depending on the state of the buyers finances of course So steady as she goes with a 25% increase in interim dividend The cash balance should start to earn interest as well now | ntv
07/11/2022 10:36 | You seem obsessed with something you don`t understand. I suggest you concentrate on the company`s prospects. | roddiemac2
07/11/2022 07:42 | The company should have been able to buy those shares @400 but because of its silly 1579 per day they couldn't. | ntv
04/11/2022 20:28 | "Hopefully back to around 360 for a top up soon" NTV 28,9.22 Hope springs eternal but it is not an investment strategy. ----I will not be surprised if the shares never go back to 360p.---not too late to buy . | roddiemac2
20/10/2022 09:05 | Why does the company have to buy it's own shares at premium to the price I can buy at? | ntv
19/10/2022 09:21 | MM paying under £4 a share then selling to the company @4.15 Pointless buyback | ntv
14/10/2022 11:03 | They paid £4.15 for 1579 each on 12 October and 13 October but today the offer has increased to £4.20 for 1579 under the company's share buyback. | z1co
12/10/2022 11:58 | 1579 bought at £4.15 under the share buyback showing as a sell. | z1co
10/10/2022 11:48 | Solid buying this morning. Share buyback will no doubt be very positive for the share price. | z1co
09/10/2022 21:20 | Hence my statement re the daily allowance the company has set with the broker Basic stuff as you state but you have to question why it set that daily allowance and if a purchase is not made on one day can this daily figure accumulate? There appears to be not enough flexibility in scheme The main thing though is the company appears to be doing well when others are not. I like that. Hopefully when they get to start the building works on their scheme that will be a lot more builders around to do the work at much more competitive prices. Don't really a whole lot about them i have traded them a couple of times in the distant past. Interesting times | ntv
09/10/2022 10:54 | NTV I have held this stock in varying amounts for more than 20 years.( sometimes top lopping, sometimes adding) . prospects for CML have never looked better than now.I hold many times more than is traded on an average day. "You never know who or why some PI or II will sell any particular stock"---obviously-- | roddiemac2
07/10/2022 18:14 | roddiemac2 You never know who or why some PI or II will sell any particular stock That is how the market works or doesn't work depending on your view Keep a few pennies back because you never what price stock will be offered at | ntv
07/10/2022 10:27 | NTV Why would any informed investor want to dump such a promising stock? I have a large holding , but would still be prepared to add on any weakness. | roddiemac2
06/10/2022 19:48 | Well spotted Z1CO roddiemac2 you miss my point If a PI or II suddenly wanted to dump a load, the company would be in no position to say buy 20k @350p because of the stated policy Their hands are tied | ntv
06/10/2022 18:12 | There was 1579 trade reported today it could the first under the share buyback programme. An rns tomorrow morning will confirm it it is. | z1co
06/10/2022 10:15 | Finally it's broken through the £4.00 barrier again and this time we should see new highs before the Interim results next month. | z1co
03/10/2022 20:45 | NTV They are not trying to prop the share price up; they are buying shares at what they consider to be a good rice. The shares are fairly tightly held . If the shares follow a falling market that would be an opportunity to buy more at a better price. | roddiemac2 |
