This will surely get bid interest if this carries on much longer.... |
Caught in the AIM uncertainty I suspect.. |
Big drift here........... |
Looks like there was an error in the detail of the results and that we are ex-div today and not 15th
"Subject to shareholder approval, the shares will go ex-dividend on 15 August 2024 and the dividend will be paid to shareholders on 16 August 2024 whose names appear on the register at close of business on 2 August 2024." |

It would be easy to check what customers of CML and other companies in the same arena are doing with stock levels.---Your comment is bizarre. |
So is there really a stock overhang amongst the customers, or is that CML management spin? |
We all know the quality of the business, like Filtronic there is a clear and growing defence angle..... |
Sp starting to look a bit perkier this afternoon, perhaps the worst is behind us? |
was under the impression that they had a buyer lined up for some of the land at the Oval- is this no longer the case? an odd time to try to market property, would it be better to wait the election result and a possible reduction in interest rates in 2025? seems that the takeover of MwT has resulted in margin erosion albeit with an expanded product range and an opportunity to enter the American defence market expansion in customers placing more than 0.5m of orders per annum must mean that there's been a contraction in those placing smaller orders export markets difficult as always - is there increased competition coming through from south-east Asia? a bit of a mixed bag of results to say the least, today's a bad day also suffering with SHOE KITW and NANO.... |
Switched to RNK [better change to capital gains] 4 brokers issued strong BUY |
I am surprised the price is holding up at this level based on an honest report from the management to say it will take two years down the road for any further forward momentum. I will hopefully wait for it to drop significantly to pick some up with a 2 year horizon. |
Shore capital taking the biscuit this morning. Hiding away their FY25 forecast of just 10.7p of EPS into the back of the note
No wonder the stock is taking a material hit today

Will be intersting to get the updated view with the results on Tuesday...... |
Bouncing a bit more at last, this is currently not being valued as a high tech semiconductor manufacturer.... |
I have No doubt you have seen the notice of share buy back by the company - explaining your comment. I too, concur that this is looking oversold . Maybe the American purchase is taking a while to integrate. I do feel those people buying at the present value will be rewarded. |
Some chunky trades today. Any thoughts on this? My feeling is they're somewhat undervalued right now. |
The latest forecasts of EPS 13.4p for 2024 would indicate that trading is still getting worse. I am unfamiliar with this company is it just a re-seller or doe's it do any manufacturing at all? |
Sorry , the £18M cash pile makes a cash adjusted PE of 10 and it must be a forecast for 2024. |
Shore forecast is 18.7p for this year. Gives a PE of 17. |
Simon Thompson, having been tipping CML last year suggests hold FWIW. He points out that the customers that reduced stock are mostly buying from a monopoly and the Microwave Technnology acquisition will reduce the margins, the Shore forecast for 2023 is 3.9% yield and P/E of 10. |
Not surprising really |
It wasn't. TU is a bit negative so share price is heading south again, currently down 45% on this time last year. |
This does look a promising bounce in the share price The HY results out in the open and a bit more investor enthusiasm for UK tech stocks may see a fiver on the horizon again , though suspect not the highs of last yr for a while. |
steeplejack-------
re. your post 792----Going private is not part of CML`s plan. |
Thanks for the above write up ,looking more interesting on many fronts. Note the filtonic (FTC) rns today re large contract , working with PRFI consultants, who are of course owned my CML. Also thanks for your write up on both CNC and PEN, both of which i hold. |
