Folks, if you look at the Proposed Activity Timeline from the March 2019 Oil Capital presentation you will see the Selene well investment decision was always Q1 2020, no slippage in that timescale. Nothing has changed yet so no need for concern just yet.

But the current delay in a well decision has not always been there Mike. Why have the Co not addressed the current delay?

A1m1investor.i must admit something about algy and Mike trundling off to Africa did seem a strange one .ALGY has put a lot of his time into CNR and just when it seemed like there would be some rewards and progress re shell he up sticks and steps down .Understandable if he had decided to hang his boots up and given his past successes it would be a wise decision yet he quite quickly set up his African venture. We now at cluff have someone on the company books albeit only the finance officer, that has a knowledge of Africa.Interesting and the share price does seem to be being walked down on little volume.Money raise for an aquisition is still in my thoughts although only speculative.

LOL @ Anley. We're all entitled to our opinions, no need to cry aboout it :D

You are posting as if you have the inside scoop here Anley, are you on the insiders register with the Company? Didn;t you post false rumours last week about some big news that didn;t materialise?

I seem to remember you taking the same approach last year when I predicted a £15m placing was on the cards... I was a fool, get the FCA bla bla bla...that didn;t work out to well for you Anley old chum.

Thanks for pointing out the link Anley .Alongside the recent company presentation it made interesting reading. The new FD coming and my inquisitive post regarding the possibility of an aquisition of a producing asset was speculative and designed to promote discussion. The company did toy with the idea of an aquisition if it presented itself and was suitable..we do have news to look forward to as pointed out in the presentation and depending on how long one has been invested it will be welcome news. The share price is frustrating but equally offers an opportunity to add at a bargain price when viewed against the future prospects.

The next ill informed and FALSE rumour concerns a share placing at around 1p sometime in the near future...........and the sale of Mr Spencers share stake .........and the future of Mr Cluff's African adventures with Mr Spencer and finally the new FD which the current board appointed.

1 The company has clearly stated in written that the company is fully funded until 2021. The company when approached said that there was no need to alter this statement.

2 Mr Spencer has not sold any shares since last years placing at 1.75p. In a 16 January 2020 Shareholder register it can be clearly seen that none of the disclosable shareholders have sold shares. This is clearly FALSE information and the person involved has been reported to the FCA.

3 Mr Cluff and Mr Spencer do have an African oil/gas business and they have neither discussed this with the Board of CLNR nor is there any link between to two businesses.

Again false information........

4 As far as the new FD is concerned why would the "false" information person wish to make such silly statements about her without checking with that person. He clearly did not so yet again his purpose is to drive the price down so he can buy in cheaply.

The FCA in 2020 are going to be forced to act to curb false information on the two prinicipal BB - ADVFN and LSE............

BRON......some of the recent posts have been written as a result of a certian ill informed BB poster on the LSE BB.

I happened to notice that the following link had been posted on the LSE site by someone who understands the oil/gas industry but, I think works within that business world............thank you in advance for your copy.

Open up the link and look at the information and ask yourself why would Shell want to come in on the Cluff license and use their site area map as well? They must believe that the stuff is there not only from their old maps and data but from more modern methods of research.

What everyone has to remember is that SHELL are a highly disciplined business which checks and checks its data before coming to any critical decision. In our case and if one takes the opermistic view then this area could open CLNR to sufficient and continiuos revenue which some should be earmarked for dividend payments but still leaving the company with working capital. But how many of us will still be shareholders within the next 2/3 years?

Here is the text..............

"Timing of a well in 48/8 depends not so much on subsurface work but rather on capacity availability in Shell’s Clipper pipeline system. You can see from link below that Shell is anticipating reduced ullage in 2021 due to more gas availability from Selene prospect and surrounding features".

Barnes.reality with this company is small shareholders are not important if the share price is anything to go by.Something is about to give in my view, whether it's positive or negative is open to questiin,Surely cluff has to have made some progress since the shell farmout. The share price is definitely being walked down for some reason, hopefully will find out soon

That sounds terrible and would almost certainly lead to further dilution of a share price already decimated by raising so much money years ahead of it being required

With our new financial officer on board who's recent undertakings have Been in the a company called new age ,a company involved in Africa.Interestingly messrs cluff and Spencer have a new vehicle involved in acquiring assets in West Africa.Cluff natural resources have intimated in the past that a producing asset may be something they would be interested in and raising £15 million over twelve months ago did seem a tad over the top in my view.Bottom line is im suggesting we might be able ready to pick an asset up.Raising more cash to fund the acquisition wouldn't be overly negative if it was to fund an asset that gave clnr some earnings...just speculating ,any thoughts?speculation aside this new financial officer has significant experience and certainly a positive and perhaps a glimpse of what the future holds.

I suspect the smarter investors don't make predictions on the back of a feeling and I would put you in the smart camp Anley. so it bodes well for an update although the share price appears to have not taken kindly to the anticipation.intrigued to see what happens.
