In the Sunday Times today (23rd September 2018), Ian Cowie writes:

“Cluff Natural Resources, a British energy company that got caught up in controversy about fracking, remains the stand-out stinker [in Cowie’s portfolio]. Impressed by the reputation of its founder, Algy Cluff, I paid 4p a share in August 2014, since when they have plunged 52% to 1.9p. Thank heavens I never punted as much as 1% of my ‘forever fund’ in this penny stock. It would be tempting to sell and forget Cluff but, instead, I hang on to what’s left in the hope that it will help me resist the temptation of similar spiv stocks in future.”

Hope so Piper. No one is saying it's an easy market for farm ins and I don't blame the board for wider circumstances. However, big salaries, no skin in the game and no plan b is inexcusable at this juncture.

Without doubt it is massively frustrating to watch the share price dwindle at a time of potentially significant news. The interim statement was bullish and bizarrely this should be a very exciting time to be invested with news of a farm-in partner likely any time now. To me, there is currently a massive disconnect with the share price against the potential upside if a partner deal can be agreed, but that's AIM for you.
We might be panicking but certainly there is no indication of that from the board. It's not just us, the whole market, in particular AIM seems depressed right now. I'm sure Messrs Spencer and Dorfman's wouldn't be involved here if they were not confident things will come good. Things could change very quickly in the days and weeks to come.

It was a small flutter at 2.02. Didn't bounce as much as expected. Sold 37k at 1.9 to be a few UKOG...still hold 50k of shares here only. Not really in either CLNR or UKOG at the moment...most of money in CLP (for better or worse!) Regards LA
