Highly likely we have lost our investment here. However, we are still waiting for the final word from the company. If it's a simple game-over situation, then why the delay in providing the announcement? In my mind there remains a grain of hope, albeit a small one.

Maybe ROI are planning a £1.8 billion pound payment to Churchill, as a gesture of goodwill, eh Stephen? No admission of liability, though. They're just happy that they won, paying the money has never been an issue for them.

Stephen,
Have you or any other posters managed to have a conversation with DQ since the decision?
This must have landed as a crushing blow to him, and to Nicholas Smith, I wonder how they are dealing with the fallout from this unmitigated disaster?

Has it not occurred to anyone that the delay may be due to the possibility that C.C. may have discovered something that could change everything??

I wonder...…R30;…...is it just possible

Everywhere on whichever thread you happen to look, nothing but, uneducated bile. The other thread author trying to sound like a philosopher whilst behaving like a mob leader and allowing scum to post unmoderated nonsense.

D.Q. being vilified at this stage is disgusting and beneath contempt.

Has it not occurred to anyone that the delay may be due to the possibility that C.C. may have discovered something that could change everything??

Any challenge in the Paris court would be time consuming, certainly not expensive. The best protection for Churchill is administration and prevents ROI bringing bankruptcy proceedings against CHL that would finish us all and leave no back door, to enable CHL to bring further appeal. No haircut is possible now, we are in administration, Pala would either fund the small cost or lose $billions, if no funder was available or in fact, needed.

The delay is unfortunate, but if it delivers, i can wait. D.Q. has done what he said he would, protect shareholders interests, in this most distressing case.

Still no news posted on CHL's website.

Why do they state 7 days and then fail to meet the target they themselves set?

Better not to put a timescale at all than fail to meet one surely?

Lets just see what the next news brings rather than speculate.Yes maybe it is all over, but maybe a OXS repeat if they can get funding and CC see a case in a different jurisdiction.

imho, nothing wrong with that at all, im just saying it is going to be very difficult for chl now, its evident some political issues went on behind close doors judging by the icsid decision(s).

Will cc recommend taking this further?

We all need to realise this maybe the end, rather know now then waste more years hoping justice prevails.

neo,

DQ hasn't "moved on", he was already involved with another company, and I don't see a problem with that, do you?

CHL has been e legal battle for the last couple of years, so not difficult for him to have involvement elsewhere, IMO.

Well 7 days or 14 days, chl not listed no more, DQ moved on.Looking very difficult, well and truly shafted, I just wished I never heard of chl.

Wulber,

I always thought it would take longer than 7 days.

Firstly CC have to assess the decision and if they think there is any merit in fighting on. And if so, where? E.G Paris.

And if there is, I would expect CHL to approach PALA to assess their willingness or not to finance any further actions, and then they have to sit down as a board and make a decision based on all that.

Following that, they have to draft an RNS, and get legals to pass it.

I would expect that to take a bit of time personally, 7 days was only realistic if they were throwing in the towel, IMO.

Jack,

Yes it would be interesting to see if it's happened before.

It does seem as though ICSID rules don't apply to CHL's case at all.
