In other words...
In recognition for years of abject failure to achieve turnover ; let alone a profit ; and to celebrate what by now will be very close to £20million in losses , the directors have awarded themeselves even more one way bets , just in case by some miracle something out ot the blue happens to make these shares worth more than the option price.
Of course since that is unlikely to happen its not incumbent on the directors to actually exercise these options.
Whilst this may appear to suggest the directors have an interest in achieving a company with profits ... it is also not necessary , as they still will be rewarded in the form of directors' remuneration and help with expenses etc....
Thanks shareholders for making decades of this happen - without your goodwill (some would say charity) none of this would be possible.

Or you could look at the chart and see this pump and dump has been done many times.
The share price reverts back to its slide towards zero - there is no business or earnings to support it.
