The board of Clerkenwell Ventures announces that it received notification on 13 August 2007 from Hargreave Hale Limited that, as at 9 August 2007, Hargreave Hale Limited has an indirect interest in 8,882,207 ordinary shares representing 12.89% of the voting rights in the Company. 8,450,000 of these ordinary shares are for unit trusts operated by Marlborough Fund Managers Ltd, for which Hargreave Hale Limited manages the investments on a discretionary basis. Yes, 82.4m shares. The consolidation is 1 for 5 - therefore at say 7.5p the shares convert to 37.5p each. Multiply by 82.4m gives around £30m.

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Clerkenwell Ventures PLC said it has raised
25.6 mln stg, gross of expenses, om a placing of 341.3 mln shares at 7.5 pence
each and that it is actively pursuing a number of acquisition targets in the
leisure sector.
The company, which acquires, develops and operates leisure businesses, also
said it plans to consolidate its share capital at a ratio of 5 to 1 on September
11 and that it expects the total number of shares after consolidation to be 82.4
mln.



umm, i make that 30m cash and a market cap of 50m if there are 82.4m shares post consolidation? surely that cant be right???

At today`s price of 7.75p., private investors can now buy into this cash shell of £30m. at a mere 3% premium to the price of the recent placement to the institutions!

Hi FWIW Marlborough FM had 9,000,000 shares or 13.06% at the last declaration. So it looks as if they have dropped 550,000 shares.

Do you know if this is a new holding, a reduced holding or even an increased holding of shares by Hargreave Hale. Whichever it is, it's a significant amount. If it is new then that shows an awful lot of confidence.

bad day on the markets today, i see we have a small seller who has knocked .25 off the bid..

However, what does a stock market 'correction' do for CRK, who are sitting on cash... makes our money go alot further!

Last trade paid 9.5, over the odds ,wish i had spare dosh at the moment this is looking better every day still i have a reasonable holding.
