John French has today stepped down as AMU Chairman, so should be able to devote more time to CLM.

Maybe not- there's been a small amount of net selling over past few months. But I certainly think they aren't likely to be flush with stock now.

So are the MMs short?

Which by my reckoning makes the totals for the day:
Buys 725,000
Sells 305,398

Maybe I should have been bolder with my top-up...

And there's the 300k buy that they were trying to fill. Wouldn't be surprised to see directors buy at this low level.

I bought 50,000 earlier.
Couldn't get a buy quote for 100,000, just a sell quote.
Now hold 150,000, and will probably stick with that for the long-term, unless there's a further shake to allow me to top up at some absurd low price.
Doubt it though- at current price the business is in effect valued at zero or thereabouts.

wiganer - you could sell 350k online earlier but only buy 35k - maybe still can? Looks like there is a buyer about. Fall well overdone - figures and statements are interesting if you read between the lines! Of course, unhappy with the fall and it looks a bit artificial - there is little selling pressure at the moment. This was always a long term investment and I don't intend to add further at this level, as I already have plenty at what I consider to be a fair price.

I make it:
Buys 425,000
Sells 305,398
so far today

Added a few at 1.4. Too cheap.

Interestingly, easier to sell than it is to buy at the moment...

smallcap opening - Claims People Group down on slump in FY earnings

LONDON (AFX) - Loss adjustor Claims People Group dropped 0.25 pence to 1.37
after the company announced a slump in full-year earnings.
Net profit for 2005 came in at 51,941 stg, down from 278,163 stg the year
before.
The company said it experienced a challenging year as the mild weather
depressed claims volumes which have traditionally been significantly dependant
on weather related losses.

Well, if you take them at face value, the MMs made £862 on a £4062 trade.

Methinks we're in the wrong game...

Big sell (well for this tiddler) gone through. Happened last time pre-report that didn't go down too well. Does lightning strike twice? Dodgy results on the way?? Perhaps tomorrow??

Edit: But now a matching 250k buy. Things stirring in this tiddler pre-results??

Wiganer

I hope i am wrong as well, but the results were fairly good last time round and this caused the price to drop,so as i see it poor results and the price could drop lower.

wayneb- 0.25 would value the business at minus £1million or so. I suspect therefore that is a tad unlikely.

As there hasn't been a trading update I would think the results are going to be similar to last times, and will do little to move the price either way. The Capita contract won;t have impacted materially this time.

As for 1p that would mean the market valued the business at £0 or less. Which would seem like a bit of a top-up opportunity...

The last set of results were good and the price dropped,if they are bad this time i can see this dropping below 1p
