Thanks jhan
I assume you've had a look at CLM's past RNSs- if not, check out:

The ones in October 2004 mention new clients, which would have helped offset any NU impact.

W,
thanks for the prompt response. Doesn't appear as shattering as I would have expected. Wonder if there's any likelyhood of re-newal. hard to work out if they were undercut, poor service/value for money etc.
doesn't seem to have dampened general optimism. will look further.

(thanks again. Amazing thing BB's & t'internet)

Here is a mention of it,but it is fact

Claims People optimistic on future after jump in H1 pretax

LONDON (AFX) - Claims People Group PLC said it is optimistic about future
prospects after a substantial increase in profits in the first half to June 30
2004.
Pretax profit in the half-year rose to 71,946 stg from 5,346 stg a year
earlier on turnover of 1.21 mln stg, up from 916,990 stg.
The group said it continues to work closely with Norwich Union, and although
the three-year agreement ceases in September this year, it is assured of work
into early 2005. The group is also receiving increased support from its other
established clients, including Liverpool Victoria, HSBC and Primary Group.
The board said it has succeeded in increasing the breadth of the client base
and is currently involved in a number of negotiations which may form the basis
of a future announcement to the market.
"The second half of the year has started well and the directors continue to
view future prospects with optimism," said chairman John French.
He said that in the coming six months the group will build on its sources of
business, seek compatible acquisition opportunities and continue to work with
the market to produce new and innovative products.

I think one of the things holding this back is the loss of the Norwich Union contract....'

Hi Wayneb, can you give me any more info on the loss of Norwich Union. Can't find any details & I understand they represented 33% of turnover a couple of years ago.

sorry if it's old news but this is my first look at CLM.

ADVFN header is wrong- now shows CLM as loss-making. It isn't.
In 2004 it made £278k profits on £2.67m T/O. for relevant RNS, see:

Just to highlight the undervaluation of CLM:

NAV at last results date was 1.09p per share. So, at 2.75p to buy, you're getting future earmings stream at 1.66p per share.

EPS for 2004 was 0.28p, giving an "asset-adjusted PE ratio" of 6.

Just seems too low to me, and that without factoring in any earnings growth from 2004 to 2005, plus the increased balance sheet value.

Looks like we have a seller. Not huge amounts, but enough to keep CLM down. not too worried though- fundamentals and prospects are still in place, and both seem to suggest CLM should be rated much more highly.

Quite a flurry of trades over past couple of days, by CLMs standards. Buys pretty much offset by sells though, unfotunately, so will probably be in doldrums for a while yet. Looks to be a LTBH for me then, which I don't mind- prospects are still great.

Topped up another 60000 shares on the dip. Got in at 2.69 this time which does seem a crazily low price. Now hold 100,000 at average about 2.8.

Hi Wiagner

I've an investment in CLM and topped up last week.
Great risk/reward play IMO.

Agree with you on both points.
I'm invested mainly in AIM stocks and noted that the share prices in most of my holdings were decimated after the announcements of the attacks but had recovered by the end of trading. A preventitive measure to stop a sell off in small caps ? I really don't know why the disparity.

I also anticipate interims in late August, especially as their half year only finished a week ago !!!

Baffled by today's fall. If it's people selling because of the bombs, then they've got it very wrong re CLM IMHO, beacuse they would stand to benefit, from loss-adjusting/claims handling.

As for results, they published figures for 2004 in March 2005, see

I dont think they are due to publish interims till late Aug/early Sept- last year the interims were published 24th August
