Pat you seem to be getting confused on to different things mate.To ensure the continued progress of the ICSID arbitration and enable the ICSID Tribunal to make its decision on Indonesia's Forgery Dismissal Application, at 9.13pm Washington DC time on 12 April 2016 and in the absence of any payment being received from Indonesia, Churchill paid Indonesia's share of the fifth advance.Last part of that paragraph says CHURCHILL PAID INDONESIAS SHARE!

Pat, I can't see how ROI can pay, they have defaulted,CHL have paid for them. Who are they going to pay back? CHL.... They won't give a penny to them until the result of the quantum. Are we at 19p yet

Questions a half decent financial or political journalist should put to Joko Widodo when he visits ...

Are you embarrassed that ROI is in breach of the Bilateral Investment Treaty with the UK?

How does breaching a UK / ROI Treaty help encourage investment in ROI?

Do you intend to settle with Churchill Mining in order to repair ROI's tarnished image as a country that breaches treaties?

Similar questions should be put to Cameron ... how can he even begin to consider progressing trading links with a country that has treated a UK company so badly to the extent that it has disregarded an international treaty?

Even if ROI belatedly pay, the damage to their reputation has already been done unless they put it right by settling and formally concede defeat.

Perhaps investors should encourage the BBC and other news organisations to ask these questions.

Churchill Chairman David Quinlivan said "It is strange that Indonesia has failed to pay its share of an advance payment requested by the Tribunal to cover the costs of deciding Indonesia's own application. But this is not the first time that Indonesia has been issued a default notice in this arbitration.



What makes this time different is that Indonesia has not cured its default and has not offered any explanation or excuse for its failure to pay. In fact, Indonesia has not said or done anything in the arbitration since the fifth advance payment was requested two months ago. We are taking Indonesia's silence and failure to pay its share of the fifth advance payment as a sign that Indonesia may no longer wish to participate in the arbitration. It is too early to tell if this is the case, and our lawyers have written to clarify the situation. We will know by next Wednesday. However, if Indonesia does pull out, that will not stop the arbitration. Churchill remains committed to the resolution of its dispute with Indonesia through the ICSID process and will do whatever has to be done to ensure that the arbitration progresses to its natural conclusion."

After all, it seems I have been right. I was a bit miffed to be proved wrong which is very rare.

But I am a man of honour, I accepted defeat already on my morning call. It’s only a battle lost, but I always win the wars. BR is not perfect. If there were perfection in the law of physics, big bang would not have happened.

My Target by Monday is 14p.

OK Rossannan fair point. Probably getting ahead of myself a bit but the odds are stacked in CHL favour at the moment for a win on the hearing. Why else would the ROI not engage and pay their fees if their case was strong? Its an admission of guilt in my honest opinion. and not wanting to throw any more good money on a bad cause.

Respect to traders scalping is a skill and can be fun and addictive but surely best stick to the indices and blue chips where over the years the skill can be perfected.
Traders learn their art too perfection but I believe as many as 90% lose in the end ?

This is a different kettle of fish in that it may react on big trading days or when it loses a major support an the way that you anticipate.
On the other hand this stock is full of surprises and never as we envisage and can hit you from nowhere when you least expect it !
Do we hear it approaching the station ???
