02/5/2008 06:57 | Morning hector, we won't know how good value this is until the Prelims, which could be due any time now. It will be interesting to compare the results with Evolution's estimates which appear only to factor in moderate organic growth. | 0rb1t
02/5/2008 06:45 | THe low! share price probably reflects the tougher environment the company is now exposed to on AIM. I agree it is oversold ( well I believe it is ) and should at last start building back my holding I sold just before floatation ( though i missed the better price of that time) Plenty of upside here it seems one of the best AIM Chinese cos. | hectorp
02/5/2008 06:42 | The balance sheet was looking strong at the interims: - Cash at bank of GBP3.6 million (28 Feb 07: GBP4.3 million) - Due to sustaining a healthy cashflow, the group has made early loan repayments for GBP0.3 millions and balance of GBP0.2 millions are to be paid next year. They also had trade receivable of £5.8m. | 0rb1t
02/5/2008 06:27 | Hangzhou Bay Bridge opened yesterday: This connects the port of Ningbo to Shanghai which reduces the journey distance from 400km down to 80km. Ningbo is China Eastsea's main office location. This should enable the company to tender for and support project work in the Shanghai area out of their Ningbo office. | 0rb1t
01/5/2008 20:10 | only raised a token amount at 33p of about 300k.... trouble is I don't know what the balance sheet is like for this company... also its acquisition led strategy is somewhat open to question.. i.e. we will growth by buying other companes... that kind of strategy has ended in disaster many a time.... however, appears lowly rated.... we shall see Slap | slapdash
01/5/2008 19:49 | The last fund raising was done at 33p. If this is any indication of value then that makes the current price of 22p good value! | 0rb1t
01/5/2008 15:07 | Continuing to slide on very small volumes. No apparent reason other than lack of buyers and boredom amongst the Sellers. | masurenguy
01/5/2008 14:52 | In for a few today. Chart looks horrible, but it reminds me of the early GNG chart after AIM listing. Anyone know when results may come out? | cactus100
27/4/2008 20:07 | 0rb1t - Thanks for the web link in the header for the Evolution note. | affc21
24/4/2008 11:23 | Also Yuan has appreciated over 10% against the pound in the last six months, this is a crazy price | capt bligh

24/4/2008 10:59 | Somebody had a punt this morning and bought 65000 shares. I've updated the header to include the Evolution estimates and a link to the research note. The figures could be conservative even though they do have a target price of 41p. Also they don't include any expansion through acquisition. On TDWaterhouse they estimate the 30th April for results but I wouldn't be supprised if they are later. | 0rb1t
24/4/2008 10:55 | "China Eastsea Business Software is in the software & computer services sector and is currently trading at 22.50p per share. In the last year China Eastsea Business Software's share price has ranged from 22.50p to 36.00p and brokers are currently rating this stock as 'buy'." taken from halifax sharedealing | 999dreamer

23/4/2008 14:49 | Mas, It's actually 2 contracts that have been completed and the 3rd is only an estimate. £1.06 so happens to be 15m RMB in the exchange rate they were using for last year. | 0rb1t
23/4/2008 14:34 | Why has the price declined by nearly 40% over the past 3 months. Market cap is now down to circa £15.5m and at 22.5p the historic PER is now circa 6.7. Also why are all 3 contracts that they have announced since listing on AIM, with ZT, YP and YDG, all worth exactly the same i.e. £1.06m ? | masurenguy
23/4/2008 13:55 | To remind everyone what was written in the AIM prospectus: "19. Current Trading and Prospects Since the end of the 6 months to 31 August 2007, for which unaudited accounts are presented in Part IV of this document, the business of the Group has continued to trade in line with the Directors' expectations and the Directors expect to report turnover that is SIGNIFICANTLY higher in the year ending 28 February 2008 than the year ended 28 February 2007. The Group continues to look to expand its business in to new areas and has been making the necessary investment in personnel to achieve this. In addition to this, the Directors continue to assess various acquisition opportunities including that of Shanghai SecuTech, which was referred to in the interim results announced on 30 November 2007. Based on the Group's current trading and strategic opportunities, the Directors remain confident about the prospects of the Group." | 0rb1t
12/4/2008 11:32 | Hi Riv, Their company website is either www.eastseagroup.com or www.sinobpo.com. I would like a copy of the EVO note too. Still going on on the CityIR note from Oct 06 but everything looks on track or even better than estimated by this. The presentation by london asia in Aug 2007 gives useful background (see links above). The company have also issued quite a number of RNSs in the last few months. | 0rb1t
12/4/2008 11:17 | Just seen a news item that the chairman of CESG opened the london stockmarket on the 18th March: See the quote below I think resolves one of the risks mentioned in the admission documented about them not being an approved WFOE (nice gift from the local government too!): "China Eastsea obtains support and affirmation from Chinese government for listing at LSE. The government of Ningbo Qinzhou district gave 2 million RMB as prize for praising China Eastsea's contribution to image modeling outside border on press conference in February, 2008." | 0rb1t
11/4/2008 19:25 | Hello rivaldo, Sorry but I can't help you with the Brokers note (would appreciate a copy myself if some one has the note at hand). Very pleased with my investment in Geong, which has given me a very nice (paper) profit to date (with Thanks to your good self), so hoping for a similar play here. | affc21 |
