“Live” Q and A session for investors on April 29th with the exec chairman and exec Ceo.... just register as per the rns.How refreshing is this for a company to expose itself to such a session?Shows that this is a genuine company with much to offer that wants to interact with its shareholders.Obviously confident in their offering and the future.

I have voted, AJBell have sent out corporate action notices. There's no doubt that there s a bit of 'trust us we know what we are doing ' about the admission document. The prospective initial revenue is tiny; however these are nearly all consultancy clients. And the ISO certification can take between 3 and 12 months. I voted for of course.

Same here. The growth in AI-based portfolio management tools and applications should be immense over the next decade, so there might be a first mover advantage for an outfit like CTNA. I would have liked to see part of their revenue model with some leverage to aum, but then, they are hoping to sell vertically through a fund management group to embrace all asset classes, which should generate extra licenses and revenues. In at the ground level here, for better or worse.

I have taken a position here with big thanks to a couple of Investors for highlighting the Company

Also, having trawled back through the thread I noted a few old names from the good old days, who I recognised from when ADVFN was an informative, discussional and educational conduit. I hope that continues here without the now all too common morons and mud slinging appearing.

Very exciting space this.
Have a decent chunk and will be adding further.

There was always going to be a few legacy holders exiting after being suspended for so long.

New money will enter undoubtedly.

The first day back in the market has been very worthwhile.

Once word gets around I suspect we will see a much higher share price and some interesting new investors. In the meantime I'm pleased the team has skin in the game and look forward to hearing further company news.

Coca Cola chose to have NO patent because they did not wish to divulge their unique recipe which could be copied after the expiry of the patent(20 years).Insig have chosen to go down the same route as their methodology and algorithms are unique, world class and totally secret.

But, Coca-Cola has a very good reason for not patenting their recipe. The reason why there's no patent on it is to ensure the recipe remains undisclosed. A patent is only good for 20 years, which means that after that, the recipe becomes available to the public. The original formula was patented in 1893, but the recipe changed over the course of time and it was never patented again. As such, it remains a mystery. According to the company, only two senior executives have the recipe, but their names are unknown.

74tom - it's good to get a balanced view on shares and I would urge investors to also review the prospectus. I work in asset management so have an interest in such technology. I've skimmed the prospectus for various pro's / con's and IMO a few key ones are below:-

Pro's.

23% ownership by senior management - good
Royal London Asset Management - a key initial user (hence the non-exec from RLAM)
15 other 'active' opportunities which probably are existing clients
100% engagement with existing clients to review / expand existing business relationships (in other words, high probability of converting 15 clients)
No direct competitors (prospectus's words not mine)
41% CAGR into the foreseeable future
If the software does deliver on performance, can see huge demand from other investment funds.

Con's

260k salary (each) for top 3 execs for a £1m turnover company is bloody rich.....
Not a huge fan of the licensing model which is based on number of users. Wish the licence model could tie in to AUM especially if the software delivers real Alpha / outperformance

It's an exciting space with projected high growth rates into the foreseeable future. It's more a question of whether Insight is uniquely positioned to tap into this market - which as always comes under execution risk. I am an existing share holder, but would probably hold fire before adding if I was looking to take a new position.

Not intending to put a downer on things here, however having read the prospectus I can't understand the valuation here at all. Would have been nice to have had more than 30 minutes to look before it listed this morning...

Page 26 of the prospectus;

"Insight does not currently have any patents or pending patent applications in respect of any of its products."

I'm amazed that they haven't even got ANY pending patents prior to a public listing, they've had the last 12 months+ to at least get something in motion. What are the barriers to someone with a bit of money copying their SaaS model?

With regard to the earlier comparison to RENX, they have an exclusive global license to patented blood based biomarker technology which provides a genuine barrier to entry for any competitor. Not sure I see any barriers at all here?

Also, from the C3 AI prospectus;

"Strategic Competitive IP Advantage We enjoy a rich patent portfolio that is a substantial competitive advantage, both offensive and defensive, in the Enterprise AI market—most notably, our most recently issued U.S. patents (No. 10,817,530 and No. 10,824,634) which were granted for systems, methods, and devices for an enterprise AI and internet-of-things platform. Our patent portfolio covers the key capabilities of our model-driven architecture that are the foundation of our highly differentiated technology. This includes methods, systems, and devices for data aggregation and unification, times-series data processing, data abstraction, machine learning implementation, and much more."

Clearly they on a different scale with a C3 AI sporting a $6b cap (and $181m of revenue) vs the current $110m (and £1m revenue) of CTNA, however the fact CTNA don't have a single pending patent application has to be a major weakness. What stops someone with even moderately deep pockets simply copying their ideas? It's hardly 'proprietary' without a single patent! Considering they are pitching to asset managers, they are playing a dangerous game.

In March 2020 CTNA bought 9.1% of Insight for £1.5m, valuing at £16.5m, what has happened in the interim to justify the 400% increase in market cap to £80m? It looks way over cooked to me.

This is looking like an exciting and excellent future. I’m pleased to be a holder.

A recent Mail on Sunday article suggested that shares would be available on Primary Bid so keep an eye open for that.
