wow, didnt expect you to write a whole essay on this subject, although this is a BIG subject. so you saying everything is still in the chart but we just havent discovered the best way to READ it yet? hmm...

since I started trading, I made a lot money and lost a lot money too, realised this game is not as easy as it looks at all, it is very dangerous as well, you have to get many aspects right in order to generate consistent gain/winning trades. fundamental, TA, money management, psychology, exit strategy, develop your own method fit with your own personality, etc. it takes years of experiences to get all of them right, otherwise you less likely to become successful in trading. Not easy. so like Larry suggested, I am gonna study and paper trade until I feel comfortable before trade real money. cheers mate.

I think news is one of the events which trigger moves which were due to come. Yes I believe in TA. I do not think that news items can be weighed linearly to price moves. So I guess it is a hopeless direction to plan your trading on news. ALL news, events, manipulation etc are in the price so TA based on price is the best we have. I guess I can predict moves to a few seconds with some of my methods sometimes. I think there is a lot more on TA to come, more than the MA and similar other techniques can offer. Non-linear techniques are interesting but the are also to large errors. So there is a lot more to come in future. I believe in TA, using TA I managed to double my capital in a few months...and this is not a few ponds by the way, and this gives me confident. Trading is another issue. Even when one is good in TA may not have the stomach to trade well. The psychology of the person is important. MANY MANY times I lost money because I did not have the stomach and discipline to follow through my own analysis. I have not always had the patience to stay out when I should. it is like smoking. You get used to the bad habit. You want to be in the trade all the time. Greed is another problem. People think they lost when they missed a big move. They forget the market moves all the time and there will be another big move. Taking profits is the only way not to loose. Using STOP limiting the losses was another big problem with me which I managed to sort it. Money management is a MUST. You can wipe your capital when you take a big risk. There are set ups which are of high reward to risk ratio and those are key. TIMING is for me the most important secret to my trading. I may not be so sure how high or how low, but timing the low and high combined with good trading techniques is most of the times right now sufficient for me. If I am wrong, then I am swift to correct and gain. Yes I think all is in the charts but we are not ready yet to READ it. We try to do so and our best chances are from price. Other indicators are great help too in confirming your move. Will see in the future if this is not fluke.

insiders have been selling since July and August.

been watching the Larry Williams videos, he thinks technical analysis sucks, he does not have much of respect to the TA, he said he use to believe it but after 35 years of trading, realised TA were only right 40% of the time.

nowadays he focus on what commericals are doing first and work out what is really going on in the market and focus on the driving force behind the market and figure out what to do and in the end, maybe look at chart to decide the entry or exit point, thats about it. But money management is far far more important than anything else.

do you believe everything is on the chart? I did, well, everything happended in the past are on the chart, but nobody can see the future. If someone has been trading very very successfully for 35 years and saying he doesnt believe in TA, you got to think twice.

Courtesy of Finviz, the ratio of insider buying to selling transactions is 5 to 145. Total transaction value: Buys: $13.4 million; Sells: $1,042 million. At least insiders are feeling (or its dyslexic equivalent, fleeing) the new bull market.
