Grannyboy I agree, I'm fully invested in Matd, The rig was deployed from block v snow leopard on the 1st Oct heading for Wild Horse-1 well. Mike Buck the CEO stated in the Oct 1st RNS...Wild horse-1 well certainly deserves its place in Wood Mackenzie's ranking of the top 20 exploration wells to watch in 2018. All is going ahead as planned and started. The next news will be the big drill. Matd has 5 fully funded wells to drill and Wild Horse is the one I have waited for for some time.

Pro, no worries, 20% then. Fellow investors (punters)in Matd now thanks to me buying the equivalent of an expensive lunch worth this morning.

Chariot looks Donald Ducked now, the strike price of the share is 1p so its probably massive dilution then capital restructuring. Just an opinion.

GoM, the Pg (Geological Chance of Success) for Wild Horse-1 is 20%.

The Pc value is 9%.

Really should not be making these errors........

Its just punting, that is my point. There are factors though which can help you to optimise your bets.

I saw Mike’s presentation in London, there have been mistakes this year but I reckon he is a very competent individual and effective communicator. Its a very challenging environment over there, even the nomadic herding of Yaks has been a factor! Visas, weather, logistics, licence expiry limits, cash position etc etc. The complexity of these intrinsic and extrinsic factors can assist you in improving your individual odds.

But if you want to throw 10k into the ring and let it run for five wells over two years its a free country mate. Atb GoM

What is the point in punting more than beans on these micro E and P companies? Even bothering to keep money invested or going to pointless AGM’s etc? Just be honest and punt on placings, spuds, emotions, gas shows etc. I took a mini hit this morning but at no point was it ever an ‘investment217;.

That is why it is worth helping to keep people grounded and logical, if you have any interest in the welfare of your fellow man that is.

I think Logp is both a medium to medium high risk investment, Rockhopper, Sound (lower risk) similar. Most of them are absolutely horrendous from a capital preservation pov.

GunsOFMarscapone, You appear to have a serious gripe against MATD..You constantly post 'wish lists' of things you think(hope)can go wrong with their drilling plans, you mock when they found a duster at SL1, telling all and sundre how you had foresaw it..you keep referring to the weather in Mongolia,.. Yes it could turn, but at the moment the drilling is going has planned..

And after reading your post 5669, I find you are now coming across as rabid anti MATD, and you ask why people put money into BPC or MATD and not in char....well maybe you got your answer this morning...

And to invest in MATD is not like a last chance throw of the dice...they have FIVE fully funded drills to look forward to..

The writing was on the wall 2 days after the spud , shares were being sold down , but mm were holding the share price up , classic case of letting the placees escape without to much damage , watch the money in the future , they have one last chance .

arttee , rubbish it may sound to you , but Larry's track record is zero , and is not likely to change , anyone buying here clearly likes a gamble , which is fine , but to think Char can hit the sweet stuff is indeed rubbish , check how much has been blown by this company , it's massive and good luck to you with the next placement which is not far away.

Morning All

Converted £1000 to £350 in 5 minutes. Doesn’t leave much puntvestment cash for wildcats (max 0.5% of capital/year) and was a better Geological Chance of Success than ‘Wildcat Horse’ over in deepest Mongolia, which has a chance of completion this year on a 9% Geological Chance of Success basis. I will put £150 on it for this year and add next year of it gets cancelled or abandoned early due weather.

What happened to the Wood Mackenzie 20 top expo wells? A good argument for aiming capital at existing undeveloped discoveries?

This is gambling, NOT investment or even puntvestment.
