09/10/2018 18:04 | I wish I was inside the head of a rig worker hanging around the shakers. Thats what normally happens, first whiff or sight of oil and EVERYONE on the rig knows in 10 minutes! | gunsofmarscapone
09/10/2018 17:16 | And a dry hole! But they are trying to get back in to that block? I’ve got it now, 40 days aprox, probably no more than 35 at a guess. That’s the trouble with oil shares...heck of a lot of waiting. Wish I were a fish with an iPad. | rayrac
09/10/2018 17:11 | ...which was then followed by a problem with the BOP. | ride daice
09/10/2018 17:08 | TRP had a big issue that the wellhead housing on the initial drill slumped so they had to P&A and step out 50M to re-spud. | ride daice
09/10/2018 16:41 | How many days for the drill? 8 gone, so another 20? I forget how many days tower took over theirs..it was quite a surprise how little time it took. | rayrac
09/10/2018 15:48 | Bit of action this afternoon? | on target
09/10/2018 14:00 | Greater reward indeed, Larry going in with 65% interest, obviously didn't want to give away interest at a discount, must think he has a good chance here | jimarilo
09/10/2018 09:47 | Good luck all here. Never seen greater reward for the very very brave. | mariopeter
08/10/2018 16:22 | Ride Dalce Yes, I see your point. Try this though, providing a great oversight of the problem; your WoodMac figures are more complex yet very useful. hxxps://www.rystaden | gunsofmarscapone
08/10/2018 15:31 | I do agree with you Rayrac. | dcarn
08/10/2018 15:02 | But I’ve acquired a few thousand, just as a insurance:) | rayrac
08/10/2018 14:04 | VW says... We all know this will drop to 3-4p if we find nothing. That’s a given really. If we do find oil this will go bonkers. It’s better odds than the lottery Bad mistake quoting the lottery! There’s nothing worse? | rayrac
08/10/2018 13:39 | Have you a link? I think you are probably right but to a different question. | gunsofmarscapone
08/10/2018 07:52 | I was being conservative using approx 5% decline from Wood Mckenzie. | ride daice
07/10/2018 17:45 | 1.5 billion barrels? How did you arrive at that figure, the reserves replacement ratio is hovering around 11%. Google Rystad Energy and enjoy some of the reports! You should be happy though RD We are more or less 32.5 BILLION BARRELS below 100% reserves replacement on an annual basis. Its not, as you know, as simple as that but you see the big picture? This is why certain oil shares during the OP depression were very good value, there are a few left. My call for this autumn/winter is Lansdowne, LOGP followed by RKH. I pretty much only aim for multi-bags these days and have plenty of patience. Chariots of dust is a punt, as ever, but a reasonable one at 8p with 0.5% net capital. | gunsofmarscapone
06/10/2018 18:23 | The pendulum always swings too far. We are going well over $100 imho. 1.5 Billion new barrels required each year just to address decline rates. Where the hell is that coming from ? | ride daice
06/10/2018 16:15 | I think the market appetite for wildcat drills is very different to perhaps 10 years ago. I remember in the past easy money could be made post spud leading up to TD, how times have changed!! | arteespresso
06/10/2018 11:39 | Despite being negative a lot of what he says is correct. I've been in for about five years now with zero success and for me anyway its all or nothing now. Solely remain in for the gamble on this well, small share holding and a small spread bet, which im fortunate in that i can afford the loss. 29% cos feels about right, lets hit an elephant. | dcarn
06/10/2018 09:43 | Always good for a balanced view , should put a stop to the pumpers and dumpers. | jotoha2
05/10/2018 18:49 | Jotoha2 filtered for being a fantasist and prize wozzeck. No attempt ever made to construct a proper evaluation of anything hes ever looked at. | ohisay
05/10/2018 18:34 | 100 % correct , now of course if this company had a previous good record in exploration then the share price would probably be around 30/40p now , they have zero track record in exploration , hence the share price . COS around 10% and that is being generous , head boy is being paid £1 million plus , not bad for 100% failure! | jotoha2
05/10/2018 15:54 | I think most posters DO realise that - hence the share price capital preservation is more important for many investors- there is after all a 71% chance that you will loose 50%+ of your capital within the next few weeks. hence I would assume many risking a small punt only at this point. if there is Oil there will be plenty of opportunity to get in on the rise risk free. | bigsi2 |
