A harder question I saw posted earlier...

what's the chance of a strike in the up coming 9 wells across the regions by Tullow, HRT and Genel?

Anyone would think that these oil guys put a pin in the map, tow a rig to site, and start drilling on a whim if the de-rampers are to be believed..LOL.

Here we go then, HRT, have a 69% chance of at least one strike (4 drills), provided none of the COS values have changed.

9 Wells across all three licenses. Any strike will have a positive impact on Char. A strike is hardly likely to have a negative affect - that would be illogical.

Given all the bad news already priced into CHAR 9 drills has to be great news.

I have a good feeling about the Mauritania acreage farm out as well.

I had forgotten there was a drilling Mid 2013 - what - like approx 12 weeks time?

Morocco, Namibia, Mauritania - lots of activity this year.

In response to a question on whether Mauritania acreage could get farmed out soon ...

Anything is possible, 1. The data room has been open for quite a while: 2. In addition, Larry has stated several times that there has been a lot of interest in the Mauritanian acreage 3. Tullow are spdding Q2 2-13 : 4. And a negotiation tactic might be for the farminee to conclude before tullow strike. Tullow oil's success rate is very good - e.g. 2012 Success rate is 19 discoveries out of 25 wells = 76% - as can be seen here :
