Just as a matter of interest, did Chariot's September Namibian duster have an adverse effect on the HRT share price at the time?

Exactly how much do dusters/strikes affect the proprietors of neighbouring licences/blocks?
Can Chariot have the benefit (of a nearby strike) without the collateral damage possibly created by a neigbouring duster? How much of a two-way street is it?

Just wondering. Haven't looked into it deeply yet.

To date char have been all talk and no action. Spouting on about billions of barrels. Well how many drills in are we how much oil have we found? This is why char are falling no one believes the stories any more.

If the market is going to price the assets at zero. Then current cash is 22.3p a share, but year end is 9.24p. Expect the market might go for something inbetween in worst case scenario before any rebound?

GHH - Chariot has a year of excitement - HRT are drilling 3 wells this year in Namibia - one strike is all it will take.

Tullow are drilling in Mauritania - adjacent block to CHAR soon.

Cairn drilling in Morrocco this year in nearby block owned by CHAR.

Sit Back and Prosper!

Cheers

Strange that Tower up today, esp since Tower need to raise funds to drill.

How does this stack up - market selling CHAR down to near cash (which will be pretty much used on Morocco/Mauritania) so Namibia effectively in for free.

Yet market expecting Tower to be able to raise funds to drill Namibia!

Re FOGL comparison, FOGL is down because no firm drilling. Risk that Noble/Edison pull out after seismic.

Chariot has short term excitement thanks to HTR but this seems to be spooking markets. Chances are a duster (explo always odds against) and how will this damage CHAR's chances of Central Licence farm out?

However any sort of a positive result and Chariot should fly.

this is just seen as another opportunity by the MMs to acquire stock knowing full well they will be selling the same shares to new buyer and some existing sellers in the days and weeks to come ahead the start of the HRT and Muaritania drilling campaigns.

You would have to be insane to sell at these prices knowing there is 22p in cash, fully funded til 2013 and to think with all these big name companies drilling in Morocco, Muaritania and Namibia in the next few months that at least one will not hit oil in one of these places.

Markets are a strange mechanism, then again it is humans that operate them!

Well said indian3, exactly what I meant yesterday when I suggested the arrival of Mr. Ninja was a good indicator to start buying ;-)

Gone down too far - big over reaction.

14day RSI indicating well oversold - MACD should turn from this point - a couple of white candles from here and we should be somewhere between 25-27p.

Too much activity commencing in Namibia for this to stay at this level.

Bottom picking can equal smelly finger. I might have another dabble but only when the trend and sentiment has turned. It does seem to be overdone though.

Some guys on iii are complaining that their LSE accounts have been suspended. Some on LSE have noticed that some posts have disappeared. Looks like someone might be taking action. Good!

Poster suspension might be the pre-cursor to starting litigation. Good again!

Ticato,

You have me mixed up with someone who gives a toss what you think. Now go and play in a place where you do apparently hold shares and leave me here where I am invested.
