Chariot Oil & Gas (CHAR): Extended Base To Target 80p Plus
By Zak Mir

PrintChariot Oil & Gas (LSE:CHAR): Initial January Resistance Break

You might think that waiting until Chariot Oil & Gas shares are up nearly 10 per cent today is leaving it a little late as far as getting on the bottom fishing bandwagon here. But it should be said that at least from a technical perspective there is a method in the madness. This is because it seemed wise to wait on an end of day close back above the initial January resistance at 31.8p – the neckline resistance of an extended base formation in place on the daily chart since September. Now it can be said that while there is no end of day close back below the former peak of this month the stock has probably served up a trend change – at least getting it back in recovery mode. The expectation now is that we shall see the shares head higher towards the pre 2012 slump support in the low 80p's and towards the present position of the 200 day moving average at 77p. At this stage only back below January support around 27p on a weekly close basis would really be enough to kill Chariot's rebound prospects for now.

I cannot see too much resistance to get through on L2. We got rid of that 670K sale the other day (he must be kicking himself!)and we are off to the races ..looking good...

Being a bit selfish here guys, but sold half my holding at peak yesterday and now hoping for a pullback to 32p ish to buy them back - looks like I may not get it. Ah well, I 'll just have to keep hold of the rest until at least £1.

H,

No problem hope you make a nice few quid.I don't often mention other shares elsewhere but this had to be highlighted.

GKP'ers know a thing or two about secrets being kept about drilling, prospects etc etc and BP being IN here to me means we are not being told the truth the whole truth etc etc.

I'll put money on it,Ohh I already have.

Good luck H/Mira.

Morocco - Mauritania - Namibia. Lots of cracking acreage. Cash in the bank. Great management. 2013 - year of the Chariot. The Ambrian report issued late last year now seems sensible.....

This action is about the HRT drill not about pump and dumpers. We are also close to Tullow drills later too.

HRT GETS READY TO DRILL FOR OIL

by Namib Times
on Friday

Brazillian-based oil explorer, HRT Participações em Petróleo (HRT), announced this week that it received the semi-submersible drilling rig, Transocean-Marianas from Transocean, offshore Ghana, on 15 January and that the rig will be in transit to Namibian waters for the next three weeks.

I agree Triples. This is now looking very positive - and the manipulation to flat line the price has been well and truly breached. Whatever the short term trading bumps the direction is now firmly onwards and upwards...imho

I am glad I loaded up....but to be honest - this is still very very cheap given the upside.

How ya doing mister?

I'm here. Just been shopping and earlier on this afternoon went for a long walk in the snow. Dragged out by the missus, otherwise I would have been glued to L2 !

Good result today. I have an average of 30.25p on a whole lot of shares that I bought in September. With hindsight, I could have bought a fair bit lower, but I honestly thought that the price would have been at 34p over three months ago.

Someone has accumulated loads of shares and the handbrake has now been let off.

I think 2013 will be amazing and the biggest risk I face is selling too early.

Some tricky position management now needed re HRT drilling, but today's jump makes me think that we won't see sub 30p ever again.

OAM still not reduced their short as of the 18th. Must be a holding RNS due from BG now, surely?
