03/12/2003 16:27 | There's the reason for it 350,000 T trade. | kingdwg
03/12/2003 12:24 | As timbo & tufty say, figures don't look bad, if true to form they'll drop for a day or so then a write up somewhere and away we go. Meanwhile tuck the divi away - just under 2% interim at today's price. It's also noticeable they've raised the bid slightly on the last 4 sells. | kingdwg
03/12/2003 10:10 | Morning all, Todays Interim results came in along the lines of what I expected. Increased raw material costs and a "sluggish start" have knocked the profits but with "more encouraging performance recently" and "stronger future trading" the outlook for 2004 looks good. An increase in the divi to .3p puts us around the 5% PA area at current prices and with talk of a "progressive dividend return" I think we can be fairly certain to see another rise next time. A reduction in debt is good to see and being on course to get to £20m is a + point. All in all a fair set of results in a difficult world economy but with a management team who tells it how it is I am still happy to hold and keep adding to my stake on the dips. | tuftymatt
03/12/2003 07:52 | I'm relieved as much as anything, the mild profit warning back in July (AGM statement) gave me small cause for concern, but it now looks like the company are back on track. | timbo003
03/12/2003 07:43 | Cheerful results and a dividend increase. The price has more than doubled since I was first attracted to Chapelthorpe in | speed camera
02/12/2003 22:35 | Quite right, Kingdwg, but for good or for bad? Fingers crossed and all that...... | huntie2
02/12/2003 17:06 | Quiet on this board isn't it, best of luck to all holders in the morning, could surprise the market?? | kingdwg
24/11/2003 12:47 | SPOT ON KINGDWG, Breaking this resistance level is a good sign and I think it is fairly safe to say that a sell price of around 16.75 could be on the cards within the next few weeks. | tuftymatt
24/11/2003 12:30 | Morning tuftymatt, as you say the run up has begun but the difference is that the lows between updates are getting higher and this morning they've just broken through resistance at 15.75 on the third attempt. | kingdwg
24/11/2003 11:25 | Hello Everyone, Its been a very long time since I last posted on this board but I have still been watching and buying pre trading statements as I always have. I see the run up to the next news being no different to the past with the shares showing a strong rise followed by a fall = the divi or just a bit more. After this the price will again tick up and then get stronger. CPL is a company with a great future with a good management team and an honest relationship with its shareholders. An MBO I.M.H.O. is not on the cards but continued growth and an increased divi is. Thanks to FANTA and kingwdg , to name just two , for their posts and good luck to all CPL holders. | tuftymatt
21/11/2003 17:53 | Half a million protected at 15.5, no way is that a sell! MMs stocking up too ahead of run up to results? | kingdwg
07/11/2003 16:54 | Bit of an anticlimax here this week given the earlier strength, wonder who bought the 3. | kingdwg
30/10/2003 12:15 | No matter what advfn says and what the bid/offer shows I reckon the 15.74 are buys and the 15.56 sells so we're working on a .18 spread at the moment. | kingdwg
27/10/2003 11:56 | Hmmm, lets hope the female pheromones work as well on the stock market as they do on those lovely big carp..... | big bad bev
27/10/2003 10:23 | I've only heard what's on this board but Mrs kingdwg has just bought some so something must be afoot. | kingdwg
27/10/2003 10:03 | Seems like quite a few 'little buys' going through - this can't just be on the back of a small mention over the weekend can it? Has anyone heard any 'whispers'? | big bad bev
27/10/2003 08:49 | So I've had a little buy. | kingdwg
27/10/2003 08:37 | Morning Bev, bit of action here this morning I see. | kingdwg
27/10/2003 08:32 | Good morning Kingy. Thought you'd desterted CPL - nice to see you still here. I'm hanging in here - the divi alone is more than I'd get in my ISA so quite happy to hold untill The Flat One lets me loose on the estate agents. | big bad bev
27/10/2003 08:12 | Yes, good to see somebody put their faith in the company given the ealier 'warning'. I was rather fearful that somebody would have been issuing some more 'warnings' given the significant exposure to the $. Does anybody know what CPL's policy is with regard to currency exposure? | gerrystewart
26/10/2003 09:24 | A rare mention in the press From today's Financial Mail on Sunday | timbo003
25/10/2003 08:40 | Hi FAnTA, good to see you're still around, still got paper holding, might flutter in for a few before the figures if liquidity permits but as you say no 6p this time. | kingdwg
24/10/2003 22:38 | Hiya Timbo.. probably... I've always admired your down to earth postings and I wish I had more time to spend here but you know life is hectic, even without "day-trading" Hope you are still doing well in your ventures too.. fanta [added]well mhsmith you're even quieter than me! ;) [/added] | fanta
24/10/2003 22:25 | I'm still holding from 7p. I think I might be too lazy to sell. | mhsmith |
