04/2/2004 11:12 | Just noticed a 1m share trade today - X type - anyone know what this means and its relevance? seabird | seabird
29/1/2004 10:08 | AuDigger, As you say CPL management are very "open and communicative" and this is one of the reasons why I kept on buying into this company when the price fell away in the past couple of years. This style of management should now help to attract buyers as we enter the good times. This_is_me, lets hope the people that trade using charts as their main buying signal agree with you and jump on board. Kepp holding everyone. | tuftymatt
29/1/2004 03:11 | Tuftymatt Tend to agree but am optimistic that good news may be drip fed over the next few months as CPL management style tends to be open and communicative. Will be interesting to see if talk of new markets in Eastern Europe & Russia comes to fruition. Mid-term prospects look excellent. | audigger
28/1/2004 23:35 | The chart looks like a symmetrical triangle is forming and that suggests that it will continue its upward trend. | this_is_me
28/1/2004 13:41 | AuDigger, I think 20p will be tested in the run up to the final results in early June. I feel that for now they will stick around this level unless there is some good or bad news. Keep holding everyone. | tuftymatt
27/1/2004 23:33 | Going along very nicely since interims. Time to test 20p. Would be nice to see it tipped again and/or a nice Shares Mag write-up. Was expecting a pull-back and opportunity to top-up but don't look like its gonna happen. | audigger
22/1/2004 19:21 | Hello, Does anyone have any views on why the spread has opened up over the past couple of days?? The sellers are getting well above 18p so why does is it not showing .1825p ?? | tuftymatt
19/1/2004 16:36 | Hello all, I stated in my last post that I would "pick some more when the price levels out" but due to the sudden rise back upwards I have not been able to act quick enough!! I have always thought that 2004 was going to be a good year for the CPL share price and what I am seeing of late makes me even more confident. Keep holding everyone. | tuftymatt
14/1/2004 15:50 | Hi Tufty - the ones I sold yesterday were switched into lloy during the aftershock from the fd's resignation which at the moment has been recovered so I'll probably hold them through the figures in March then look to get back here April/May ahead of the next set of results. As you say the fundamentals are still in place and I still have a fair sized holding. | kingdwg
14/1/2004 09:48 | Well my certificated holding is still intact but yesterday morning and this I followed Schroders and reduced. My opinion fwiw: they'll drift lower until the next set of figures. | kingdwg
13/1/2004 20:29 | >>>>kingdwg >>>>gemlotte Many thanks to you both. P | parieur
13/1/2004 18:30 | parieur click on cpl at top of page, will show rns + other topics | gemlotte
13/1/2004 18:20 | Parieur I've pasted the link to the announcement but you can sign up to receive email alerts at uk-wire.com. If you look back to Schroder's previous notifications you can see their last 2 announcements have been reductions. | kingdwg
13/1/2004 17:34 | >>>>>kingdwg (post 1628) Where do you get your info' from? Regards, P | parieur
12/1/2004 18:50 | kingdwg Yes, alas, that is likely to keep a cap on further rises for a while, but you never know. | timbo003
12/1/2004 15:23 | So that's where some of the stock must have come from, Schroder down 1.1 million. | kingdwg
11/1/2004 11:12 | Riverdiver, Your memory does serve you well. He posted on this thread a number of times around the summer of 2001 after the share price began to fall as the MBO that he wrote about did not happen. As you say he did take a lot of flak but I , along with a few others , stuck up for him as what he wrote was and has proven to be correct in that CPL are a solid well run company with a good future. It would have been nice way back then for the MBO to have happened at around 20 - 25p but who knows it may raise its head again in the future only at a much higher price somewhere near the original 32p that was once mentioned. | tuftymatt
10/1/2004 13:07 | tuftymatt I've also held for a similiar time, bought after reading a Mark W-M tip about a management buyout. Have to give Mark W-M credit for coming on this board (this thread if my memory serves me well) and emphasising his confidence in CPL. He took a lot of flak. Happy new year to you as well. | riverdiver
10/1/2004 08:40 | Must be a major seller that would allow the trade report to be 3 or 4 days late. I'm not really sure of the late reporting rules. | kingdwg
09/1/2004 19:54 | This recent rise is very nice, I'm going to hang on in there with my 90K for a while longer yet (I've held them for ages, why sell now) >>>kingdwg I'm as perplexed as you as to why these seem to be so stationary given all the recent buys, obviously there is a willing seller at these prices | timbo003
09/1/2004 17:11 | No protected sell, where's the stock coming from? | kingdwg
09/1/2004 12:28 | I can't see why it's not virtually airborne looking at the trades. | kingdwg
09/1/2004 09:52 | lots of buying today but no price rise! | verynervy |
