Yep mitchy this is so bombed out after a number of bad years. The good years will return. One very important word here is PATIENCE. This will be shooting back up in our lifetime lol!

It may be premature of me but I'm getting quite excited about cna's prospects. The results should show just how much electric cars are starting to impact the bottom line. Plus I'm guessing British Gas have stopped or significantly slowed the bleeding because our prices are now ,in many cases, the best price.

Yes lurker, I sold about half my shares here back in May. Still have 50k shares here. I need 187p just to be even. Just sit back, be patient and at least we know we have one of the best dividends in the FT100. I feel sorry for some of the chaps who have very little dividend payments coming to them

Still here with only half as many shares...and still showing a loss...but no point selling now, and where else could I get a 7-8% divi?

we just got all the rigging replaced on the yacht, and are now
sorting out a new hi tech mainsail, prices are always a bit cheaper at this time
of year. CNA pay day on the 22nd should take care of it......

I can imagine the rise in electric car sales will start to impact positively in the results on the 22nd. Hybrid cars especially can be seen all over places like London now. With more and more main car manufacturers like BMW , VW , Nissan ,Volvo etc producing reasonably price viable alternatives that's got to be starting to show now in the bottom line. It will start as a trickle and turn into a flood. Hyundai now produce a 245 mile range all electric for circa £25k.Prices are dropping all the time as well. Here's a free slogan for CNA " Centrica the Electric movers ". It's free ,what do you expect...?
