Corbyn has said that the energy businesses are paying out money (dividends) to 'speculators', clearly ignoring everyone's pension funds and personal investments.

That's probably what's causing the drops - the threat of a Labour government who appear to have no clue on how investment works and how dividends actually benefit its own freaking supporters.

Clueless morons. Not just clueless. Dangerous to everyone.

Knowing : Typical market manipulation today. Only creates a problem for the gamblers operating close to their limits.

As to CNA ..Where better for the pension pots to be invested? ..they have to go somewhere . In addition ...at current levels there is always the possibility of corporate action. Weren't Shell or BP said to be interested at one time...if my memory isn't playing tricks ?

Corbyn can pay the flotation price the, to have the shares. Nobody would disagree with that. (Centrica 64.25 pence; BG 173.25 pence.)

Some interesting and very readable posts.

Still see CNA as a sound investment opportunity...particularly at 144p ! I better be right as I hold no other share!

Thanks for the link karadas. First I've heard of this but doesn't sound good. If material I would expect/want an rns from Centrica, or will they wait until trading update next week?

If material then dividend will be in doubt again - just when we thought it might be looking a little more positive. This share never fails to disappoint

By the look of it very little. The market is obviously uninpressed with it.
