10/8/2017 23:20 | One day up and the doom and gloom is over! LOL Rainbows everywhere and iPhone programmable thermostats are selling like hotcakes! LOL Good steady dividend. WOW. Amazing. I could give you many companies where the dividend is greater, progressive, growing company and with more 'secure' prospects. | minerve
10/8/2017 21:26 | Never doubted cna for a second..ahem! Anyone know why it's showing signs of life today? ( it will be down again tomorrow). | mitchy

10/8/2017 10:41 | 🎶 And every time it rains, it rains, pennies from heaven Don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven You'll find your fortune fallin' all over the town Be sure that your umbrella is upside down 🎶 Oh, perhaps not in your case guffaw! ROFLMAO | minerve
10/8/2017 06:52 | Minerva There is no need to be so aggressive I think we understand the point you are making. However, Conn announced that a decision on a progressive dividend policy would be made at the end of the year when he hoped debt would be at 2.5bn, which it is likely from the results. | 4seeaproblem
09/8/2017 23:08 | Anyway, as I pointed out: THERE IS A DIVIDEND CUT! - in real terms. | minerve
09/8/2017 23:07 | Someone needs an English lesson: "might 1 |mʌɪt| modalverb (third singular present might) 1 past of may1, used especially. • in reported speech, to express possibility or permission: he said he might be late." ➡️ POSSIBILITY ⬅️ Here is another example: You MIGHT be an idiot. | minerve
09/8/2017 22:48 | "don't tell portside1 there might be a dividend cut" Sounds like you are implying it to me. | gaffer73
09/8/2017 21:41 | Not very fast this bunch on here. Are they portside1's family? | minerve
09/8/2017 21:40 | I am not implying that it will be cut. I am just implying that there is a risk there. Anyway, some of you forget inflation. The dividend is the same so in reality you're getting a dividend cut! Bet some of you pro-dividend knuckleheads didn't think of that did you? FFS! LOL At least SSE is promising dividend + inflation. | minerve
09/8/2017 21:35 | Hammer bottom from a base, looks goodish. | yf23_1
09/8/2017 21:21 | Divi has already been announced ffs. With £250m of efficiencies this year I doubt it will be cut next year either. | gaffer73
09/8/2017 15:12 | Did my eyes deceive me or did it hit 198 a short while ago. Showing signs of recovery? | gswredland
09/8/2017 14:55 | There is risk in any share. There are a lots of very good reasons to be in this share. Who the hell said support has failed. What an idiot. The doom and gloom squad don't seem to realise at this price it has so much pain on the price. A few years ago this was 400. It is now 200 ish. Calm minds prevail. Pick up the divi enroute and the share price will recover over time. Trust in our great leader Mr conn who's plan is already working. This company also makes a decent profit. If major support fails then it may be time to rethink however, I do not think this will happen | supermarky
09/8/2017 10:53 | No talk correct. Risk? Perhaps. You can't just keep on losing customers forever and expect the loss to be replaced by iPhone numpties buying wifi connected thermostats. | minerve
09/8/2017 10:45 | There is absolutely no talk of a dividend cut.A lot of scaremongering going on here!! | susiebe
09/8/2017 10:29 | Don't tell portside1 there might be a dividend cut! The very smart and very clever, (uneducated and under-qualified) guru hasn't thought about that risk yet! ROFLMAO | minerve
09/8/2017 10:11 | Just taken out a small position. Seems to have broken support with negative sentiment and laying over 6% could lead to a dividend cut which will push the price lower. | kitbag1984
09/8/2017 08:57 | Its a difficult one...I have been underwater here for around 4 years. Sentiment is negative, I believe the Business may get smaller (fewer customers) but more profitable as costs and debt is squeezed. The dividend is now >6% and that should attract income seekers, but apparently not as the share price seems to be in a slow but persistent downward trend. Debt now at 2.9bn and on track to be 2.5bn by the end of the year, when it was said a a progressive dividend policy would recommence. However, if you cannot attract investors when the dividend is >6%, not sure that further increases will either. I can really only see support here if there is some takeover interest from someone or they start a share buy back programme, but the latter would only take place when Conn is comfortable with the debt level and I am unsure what that level is. | 4seeaproblem
09/8/2017 08:40 | Morning I've dipped my toes in the water at 194'ish. Not brave enough, yet, to tip too much in-but it gives me an interest here. Fingers crossed that a lot of the bad news is already factored in and better times, eventually, will arrive. Good fortune to all holders. | cwa1 |
