Was tempted this morning to bank some at 346 but I'm greedy..still looking for 350 which I'm confident will come. May just leave it there even when it hits 350. As a safe income generator it's pretty hard to better imho.Good Luck

Sold at 342. Couldn't resist taking profit in this uncertain world. Still have 1/4 of my original holding going into run up into xd next week. I may have been a little trigger happy? Who knows. Been on a good run recently. No doubt this is a good quality company with defensive qualities which may come in handy. Cash is king?

I'm seeing 346 as the top of the trend line ,short term, but if it breaks that a short covering spike to 350 looks likely.

The market seems to like the fact that Laidlaw is going which surprises me a little. I guess the way forward regarding a split of Centrica might be made easier perhaps. Which would be good news for share holders, of course.

It's tested 340 twice now..third time a charm?

We're also seeing a pennant forming making 340 a breakout point.

Which ever way it goes, up or down ,the bottom line is..we are beating the market.

Still on track for 350 imho. The buy backs continue to support the share price and the dividend continues to be a significant attraction for many.
The poor figures domestically due to the mild weather will be more than amply offset by the U.S and abroad where their new targets are.

In this troubled market of late it makes even more sense for my money to sit here than in a bank earning 2% which doesn't even cover inflation.

So it's official then..Sam Laidlaw will be leaving. That's a shame. Pushed out by a vote seeking politician who 'sees seemingly' and the papers just went along for the ride.Common sense ain't all that common you know!

Thank you..a picture says more than a thousand words. The picture today , however, ain't so sunny. I was hoping foran attack on the 350 level. Perhaps a tad early but it will come..erm maybe ;)

My British gas bill just arrived and due to the "warm" winter my direct debit has reduced from £120 a month to £73 for gas, presume a lot of people will have the same?
Now then as share prices look in to the future is this drop in sales already factored in?
Looking to buy in to these as a defensive stock as I believe a lot of the share market is trading at far too high a pe ratio.

City Diary: Mutiny on the top decks of Centrica over bonus-gate

Centrica chief Sam Laidlaw's decision to give up his estimated £1.7m bonus caused a near-mutiny among the energy company's senior staff.

He may leave at the end of year. I personally believe that would be an unfortunate loss to the company. He is obviously a man of integrity
Trying to do an almost impossible job made worse by politicians and the witch hunt media. It's not his fault wholesale energy prices have risen so dramatically.

Looks like some serious buyers out there for CNA. People looking for a high dividend safe haven? Perhaps disgruntled LLOY holders fed up with no divi?
Or something else? Can't find anything in the news of note to account for a rising share price on a couple of grim market days. Anyone else find anything?
