Watch out for silverstone2. She got caught out on Saga for using multiple usernames and cannot use silverstone2 anymore due to embarrassment. Sometimes uses professor_glennglad, tomtum1cleverinvester, kemche, professor kemche and purchase_atthebottom.

stansmith3, spot on, and this is because we haven't trained Gas Installers or Electricians since the late 80s, well not properly, 2 week course and that's about it but I would want them near my house. Simple supply and demand,

It would be prudent to retain as many of these well trained and experienced people as possible.
1, because of the shortage
2. because they are now competitors with a ready made book of work
3. they are profitable, even as it is.
4. This is what the customers pay the premium for!

Dangle a carrot to incentivise rather than beat with a stick.

All newbies beware of de-ramper ASPERS. He sends private messages telling people what to do.Your advised to ALSO ignore TOMTUM1CLEVERINVESTER, CLEVER_INVESTER, SILVERSTONE2, RDH21,PROFESSOR_GLENNGLAD, DISCOFOOL, STREDFORD and SHAMSHAMSHAM1.Aspers lost 180k on CNA and loads of money on Saga. Wont be hearing from rampers as things not rosie - ah ha ha ha

too true, these guys make a fortune when they go self employed

a boiler costs around £500, a flue £100 - it is ready to be hung on the wall straight out the box

five pipes need plumbed and the flue poked out the roof or wall, thats it

try getting one installed for less than £1800, £1200 mark up for a few hours work

Maybe because the value of electronics and mechanical engineers have been devalued due to the cheap labour in china for both design and manufacture. But they wouldn't know where to start on a boiler its system or electrics, each to his-her own really.

ammuabsolutely, they diagnose on a black box basis, they swap pcbs and pumps, they design nothing, they are not even technicians, technicians debug and correct pcbs, fix pumps etc.many design engineers in the uk only earn around 45k and they design the pcbs and software that runs on them

Most big gas fitters are not worth what they are paid I have found some to be useless ,To pay these over £40k is pushing customers away from big When you see the likes of other companies paying around 25k Why should customers have to pay higher bills to pay these gas fitters £40 it's far to high , Or should be all move and allow the engineers to lose there jobs .Their are hundreds of good gas engineers out of work

NORMA THE ENGINEER your incorrect, Aspers went round Tuesday posting on lots of pages about me.Now what's happened is Aspers has attracted all sorts to the CNA board.Have a look at SAGA, Aspers has wrecked board.It's clear your an engineer defending a known CNA de-ramper like Aspers.Please go back to your workers board you keep promoting.
