European markets head for cautiously higher open, tracking global sentiment Published Fri, Apr 16 20212:06 AM EDTUpdated Fri, Apr 16 20212:14 AM EDT Elliot Smith @ElliotSmithCNBC Key Points Hopes of a swift global economic recovery were boosted Thursday by data showing U.S. retail sales jumped 9.8% in March, outstripping consensus expectations as additional stimulus sent consumer spending soaring. European investors will have an eye on final euro area inflation figures for March, due for release at 10 a.m. London time, along with February’s balance of trade data. China’s first-quarter gross domestic product and March industrial production missed economist expectations, while March retail sales topped projections. LONDON — European markets are set for a modestly higher open Friday after notching record highs the previous session, as global stocks take heart from strong U.S. economic data and recovery prospects. Britain’s FTSE 100 is seen around 14 points higher at 6,998, Germany’s DAX is set to climb around 48 points to 15,303 and France’s CAC 40 is expected to inch around 8 points higher to 6,242, according to IG data.

Cleverinvester, I don't know how you keep this up, it must be exhausting maintaining all of these accounts and keeping track of what you have said on each one. Why don't you direct this effort into finding a partner so you can find some form of fulfilment and companionship?

Watch out for silverstone2. She got caught out on Saga for using multiple usernames and cannot use silverstone2 anymore due to embarrassment. Sometimes uses professor_glennglad, tomtum1cleverinvester, kemche, professor kemche and purchase_atthebottom.

stansmith3, spot on, and this is because we haven't trained Gas Installers or Electricians since the late 80s, well not properly, 2 week course and that's about it but I would want them near my house. Simple supply and demand, It would be prudent to retain as many of these well trained and experienced people as possible. 1, because of the shortage 2. because they are now competitors with a ready made book of work 3. they are profitable, even as it is. 4. This is what the customers pay the premium for! Dangle a carrot to incentivise rather than beat with a stick.

All newbies beware of de-ramper ASPERS. He sends private messages telling people what to do.Your advised to ALSO ignore TOMTUM1CLEVERINVESTER, CLEVER_INVESTER, SILVERSTONE2, RDH21,PROFESSOR_GLENNGLAD, DISCOFOOL, STREDFORD and SHAMSHAMSHAM1.Aspers lost 180k on CNA and loads of money on Saga. Wont be hearing from rampers as things not rosie - ah ha ha ha
