Hmm. Hardly any volume today and then all of a sudden a flurry of big buys. Surely more to it than a tip? Been tipped for ages by scsw. Talk of takeover perhaps?

Techinvest's new issue is out, so it's probably OK to post part of their review of CNIC from the prior August issue in their Trader Portfolio update:

"Among holdings in the Portfolio, CentralNic was one of the better performers in July. The share price picked up late in the month after the company announced that it expects to report revenue of around US$174m and adjusted EBITDA of US$20m for the first half of 2021, reflecting growth across all business lines. This represents a 56% and 32% increase respectively over the same period last year. Much of the growth was contributed by acquisitions, though encouragingly organic growth was 16% in the first quarter and 25% in the second quarter. CentralNic now expects to deliver revenue for the year well ahead of market expectations with profits comfortably in line.

Consenus broker forecast for the current year is adjusted pre-tax profit of £17.2m and earnings per share of 7.26p, giving a modest prospective P/E of 13.4.

We feel that having made several significant acquisitions to build scale, CentralNic is now in a strong position to deliver strong, multi-year profit growth."

Encouraging to see the published offer price up to 106p this morning. Perhaps stock is becoming scarcer.

Also interesting to note Friday's late RNS that Erin Finance were able to find buyers for 4.25m shares at between 103p-105p seemingly pretty easily, and that their remaining stock is now held for the long-term.

Berenberg Bank have reiterated their 'buy' recommendation and increased the price target to 220.00p.

A nice 79,000 share buy just in at the full 105p offer, after earlier 30,000 and 57,000 share buys. Looks like there's decent appetite out there.

Thinking the same, been adding more recently, not sure we’ll see sub 100p again. The recent appointment should bring together all the disparate functions.

Perhaps the dam is breaking here - the offer price is up to 104p and 103.5p is being paid by buyers.

OT : hi montynj - too many! But some "boring" stocks which I consider are yet to be properly re-rated or picked up on include CAPD, SUR, DKL, FNX, VLE, REAT, INSE and of course CNIC.

I have other major holdings in the likes of RNWH, SDI, SCE, MWE etc which are now on higher ratings but are top quality companies with excellent long-term prospects imo.

Then there are "blue sky"/microcap stocks like ITX, TST and OMI which could be multibaggers or on the other hand......might not be!

Welcome back. We have lost simon gordon along the way. He was flagging up some doubts that were a bit too complex for me, but the share price indicates that doubts exist but I think this new signing looks interesting. Happy to hold and see how things unfold.

Back from hols - the new CTO appointee is really impressive and should accelerate organic growth even further.

Cash conversion at this company is just terrific. We already know that the full year outlook is very strong There just has to be a sizeable re-rating here imo for a variety of reasons.

This morning's announcements go a long way towards explaining Friday's market activity.
I consider CNIC to be substantially undervalued on a potential price/revenue ratio of under 0.5 at 100p. This is way below its peers and requires only a very modest margin to justify it.
Those buying/adding below 100p probably got a rather good bargain.
