22/6/2016 23:48 | chart failed to follow through on Rounding Bottom idea. Now looks like a small h&s next. | bamboo2
22/6/2016 22:32 | I might try to get there if I can. Need to go to Londonn for a couple meetings shortly so will see if I can move things to the 28th. Main question I'd like to understand is how all the very positive sounding RNSs will translate into real money and in what time frame | adamb1978
22/6/2016 12:54 | I hoped to attend but as we are relocating by the 4th July I will not be able too. | pj 1
22/6/2016 12:46 | Hi Adam, Yes, I do see that, but I also know companies that have 'exceptional costs' every year. Sure, Instra appears to have the potential and it may all come out in the wash in 5-7 years time, but I am not looking that far out. Hopefully it won't take that long to see a substantial increase in earnings. I'm also aware of directors that like to talk about transformational revenue. They like that as it keeps the wheels greased, and salaries and options paid. I like actual profit, not that nonsense EBITDA figure. I want to understand how CNIC will make it without spending nearly all of it in the same year. Hopefully I'll make the AGM to get answers. I'll post any enlightenment here if I get any. 22/6/2016 12:39 | I'm trying to arrange to be there. I'm abroad at the moment but would like to be there to ask questions of the revenue model. Wholesaling for example is up 100%, but just look at the tiny increase in profit. I get that this may become a cash cow in years to come. I just want to understand the pathway and sample figures. 22/6/2016 07:50 | Anyone going to the AGM next week (28th June - London)? Could be useful forum to tease out info on revenue. Can't make it myself. | glaws2
21/6/2016 22:43 | Buffy 1.4p EPS but if you strip out the exceptionals and share based payments you get 3.1p for 2015. So its on about 15x historic - a year which finished almost 6 months ago!! I think you therefore need to forget about what is now quite distant past and look at current figures. What CNIC could do with doing is explaining their revenue model better - its something I for one don't understand. Adam | adamb1978
17/6/2016 19:31 | 25/5/2016 ''we remain confident in the outlook for 2016''. Less than a month old. As you say Buffy its about the future not the past, so not without risk | pj 1
17/6/2016 17:24 | I'm still a bit wary of the ability to produce stellar earnings here. The results should clearly state the EPS in the header table, but they don't. There's always a reason; and the reason is always the same. It's because they don't look that good. Diluted earnings of 1.36p against a price now, after the fall, of 45p. Now I'm not saying this won't be a good investment, I'm just saying that it's a jam tomorrow story. We paid a lot for Instra, it needs to deliver. Glasshalfull is a poster I respect, but I don't think he's ever posted any figures that anywhere near justify the share price as it stands, even after the fall. Whenever I've tried to understand where the profits will come from, the answer has basically been that it's commercially sensitive. Well, how exactly is one supposed to value a company and it's prospects. Growth is only of any use if it makes more money. How will it do so? How much does it make for each registration? What has it, might it, make from wholesaling? I've seen a split of the figures but I have no clear picture going forward. Maybe it's just me. Of those who haven't yet jumped ship, is anyone else at least slightly uneasy? Buffy | buffythebuffoon
17/6/2016 12:17 | Buffy - slightly tongue in cheek but many Russian investments/link ups have ended in tears. | glaws2
17/6/2016 10:54 | I'm mystified by your earlier comment. Why the 'oh heck....'? Buffy | buffythebuffoon
17/6/2016 09:38 | Very little I would have thought - they currently provide registry services for 7.5m domains and I don't think .art is going to be high volume. | glaws2
17/6/2016 08:41 | Nice sounding announcement - anyone able to quantify the revenue impact for CNIC? | adamb1978
17/6/2016 07:07 | Oh heck - this frightens the pants off me......... Ben Crawford, CentralNic's CEO, said: "The Top-Level Domain industry has not previously encountered a venture capitalist of the calibre of Ulvi Kasimov, whose exciting vision for the a new online home for the art world comes backed with the resources and expertise to execute at a global scale. UKCI is a new venture created to bring new technologies, including .ART domain names, to the global art world. UKCI is the conception of Chairman Ulvi Kasimov, a pioneering businessman recognised by Forbes as one of Russia's leading venture capitalists. | glaws2
15/6/2016 10:28 | MFM Techinvest Special Situations Fund have added: "Recent activity included an addition the fund’s holding of CentralNic, the owner and operator of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) for websites. The introduction of new gTLDs provides organisations and brand owners an opportunity to register internet addresses with new domain extensions such as .xyz, .site, .online, .website and .space. All of those domains are operated by CentralNic. The Company recently recorded four million TLD registrations, equal to 23% of all domains registered globally." | aishah
09/6/2016 07:38 | RNS on Monday shows Kestrel going above 12% with 11.5m shares - they've bought another 1.85m shares since their last disclosure: | rivaldo

03/6/2016 09:42 | Yes sorry to see you've sold up saucepan, i've taken profits myself but happy to hold the rest on a long term basis. | battlebus2
03/6/2016 09:33 | Techinvest maintains a Buy rating in latest issue: "on a current year PER of 11, which looks very cheap for a business enjoying earnings growth in excess of 30% per annum. Buy". | aishah
03/6/2016 09:22 | Adam, noted; thanks. I agree that would seem to be the case. I just cannot understand why the market is not more convinced. I have waited a fair while for sentiment to change, but it has not so far and it has un-nerved me and I feel more comfortable moving on. I hope it works out for you - probably will! 45p is an obvious support. Provided that holds there is probably no need to be concerned. | saucepan
03/6/2016 08:26 | Saucepan - sorry to see you selling however I felt the recent figures justified the price, on the basis of low future growth. Once you normalise the figures its trading on a very reasonable PE. If the growth comes in, then its glaringly cheap | adamb1978
03/6/2016 00:41 | will cNIC have to fork out more money in order to have use of these xyz names? | opodio
02/6/2016 21:05 | Unfortunately, post 662 seems instructive regarding the rise in registrations. However, that observation may be sour grapes on my part. I exited my position yesterday - feeling the chart does not match the story and I prefer to give credence to the latter. I am disappointed as I had high hopes of my initial investment in CNIC. I have been hanging on thinking latest results would change market sentiment, but that has not been the case; sod's law the share price will now start rising :-) I hope so, for those who keep the faith. | saucepan
02/6/2016 21:04 | Yes, although recurring Revs? maybe scaled? | pj 1
02/6/2016 21:00 | Would be nice if they started to make money from the 5m! Last results suggested revenues from that part of the company were flat | adamb1978 |
