Had to buy them manually but am back in. Looking forward to the update, recent acquisitions make sense and are providing valuable revenue. Silly goodwill on balance sheet but then isn't that the same of all companies these days. Good luck all.

Got lucky and caught these at 20p then foolishly let them go and forgot about them. The DS piece has raised my interest again. Looking at the weekly chart a nice bounce off the 100dma looks likely with obvious stop loss levels at 49 and 46. In particular 46 has acted as support a few times dating back to Nov'09. Limit order in for Tuesday and hope the usual DS effect isn't too strong this time round (at least till filled).....right time for a peak at the fundamentals. Good luck all.

Looking good for a very sharp return to H1 profitability.

It won't be long before we see the previous CAU levels of pre-tax returns, pre-recession revenues, and its historic high media P/Es. When we see all of these we will see a return of a 150p+ share price. My guess is that this will happen by mid 2012.

A 100%+ return possibility in 18 months is a real tempter & I've been buying in heavily for 3 months.

So .................. CAU is now very much "in play" & the chances of it remaining as a quoted company on the main board are about zero.

Ain't I glad that I went in for 8,500 last week & yesterday. It's nice to get the timing right for a change.

What's the final "take out" price going to be? Who will be the new owner of CAU?

My first stab is that this approach will force out a counter bid from one of the big b-2-b media players (Informa, Utd Business Media, etc) & I can see an MBO also being attempted (given the already pretty chunky director holdings) as the cash flow will sustain it. So at least 3 players competing ............ to me that indicates a final price of at least mid to high 60s.

This is going to be interesting.

the ordinary shares of Centaur and, in accordance with Rule 2.3 of the City Code

On 17 September 2009 CIG made an approach to Centaur to acquire the entire
issued and to be issued share capital of Centaur, which was subsequently
rejected by the Centaur board.


The Company maintains an interest in acquiring Centaur and is actively
considering its options.
