Posted at 11/4/2024 10:03 by sspurt Agreed redwing - this business generates good cashflows and is valued well below the B2B media peer group despite the transformation process undertaken in recent years. I would be disappointed with anything less than 65p and think a price of 75p is easily attainable should other buyers emerge. |
Posted at 10/4/2024 14:23 by redwing1 No, 50p won't be the price if it happens. The announcement talks of a 'highly preliminary expression of interest' and therefore the market will be discounting the chance of no deal materialising. My guess would be c60p or a little higher if it happens. Let's hope it does! |

Posted at 15/8/2016 07:57 by shauney2 From city wire,Best and Webb top up on tumbling Centaur Small cap investors Philip Best and Marc Saint John Webb at Quaero Capital have added to their holding in Centaur Media (CAU) after its share price almost halved since the start of the year. Citywire A-rated Best and + rated Webb increased their holding to 4.1% of the media group from worth £2.3 million at a share price of 38.6p, down 47% year to date. The shares are held in the micro and small cap fund Argos Funds Argonaut. At the end of July Centaur reported that cost reductions were underway to achieve £2 million in annual savings. Weakness in advertising caused a 10% slide in financial services revenues, although reported revenues grew by 8% to £39.9 million. In their monthly review, Best and Webb said the company’s removal from the FTSE 250 index in June triggered selling by ETFs and index-tracking funds which put downward pressure on the shares, which they saw as excessive. |
Posted at 01/8/2016 21:54 by eastbourne1982 The share price is down 60% since last August, who cares if they cut the dividend, it's chicken feed in the bigger picture, in fact they may as well cut it now and kitchen sink it whilst the share price is so low.I never get the obsession with dividends when a share price has fallen so much, at these levels there is the potential to make 50 - 60% capital growth within 12 - 18 months imho. I don't hold these however I'm getting tempted. |
