21/2/2020 15:50 | Good spot. It wasn't so clear in the initial communication this morning. It is a total of £80m being £60m of existing shares + £20m new shares (not £80m + £20m). Still a great transaction for Cenkos and FRP! Question....please:- Speed, if you find any document in the public domain giving the net proceeds to be received by FRP, that would be useful too. thanks. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
21/2/2020 15:44 | Edison is paid for the company - so will be very biased. They charge 50k | albert zog
21/2/2020 15:31 | Re IPO fundraising for FRP Advisory (posts 3320 & 3338), the Schedule One announcement confirms that there is only £20m of new funds being raised via the placing. The remaining £60m goes to selling shareholders. | speedsgh

21/2/2020 09:57 | Not really with Edison who have very high standards in my opinion. Edison DO NOT GIVE SELL/BUY/HOLD Recommendations nor do they give SHARE PRICE valuations/targets (unlike some). They give professional and detailed analysis and leave it up to you to make your own mind up. There are indeed other non-independent research companies which shall remain nameless and which provide paid for research and which may or may not operate differently. My personal opinion of Edison is high. Have you read it? What do you think? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
21/2/2020 09:27 | Is this paid for research, though? Is paid for research no better than propaganda? | trident5
21/2/2020 08:50 | DO NOT MISS THE EXCELLENT UPDATE AND PIECE OF RESEARCH ON CENKOS JUST ISSUED BY EDISON RESEARCH A FEW MINUTES AGO THIS MORNING. YOUR ATTENTION IS PARTICULARLY DRAWN TO THEIR COMMENTS ABOUT CURRENT VALUATIONS OF CENKOS COMPARED TO HISTORIC VALUATIONS REGARDING ROE AND PRICE TO BOOK RATIOS hXXps://www.edisongr ALL IMO. DYOR. 21/2/2020 08:26 | Looks like it was priced in, though. | trident5
21/2/2020 08:19 | The original CityAm article rumoured a £30m Placing for FRP (see above). Reality turns out to be a much larger, highly successful and oversubscribed Placing for FRP Advisory of almost 3 times that amount at £80million. Another very chunky fee indeed for Cenkos. Sometimes these Placings can mean fees of circa 5% - the lion's share of which will clearly go to Cenkos as Nomad, Broker and SOLE bookrunner. If I have understood correctly, there is a Placing of £80million Gross of existing shares PLUS another Placing of new shares of £20million. Excellent business for Cenkos and more fat fees to start 2020. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

18/2/2020 12:38 | From the above: "I bought 50,000 Cenkos (LON:CNKS) this morning at 67p on the basis of the trading update. I understand that this business is going well and that Andy Stewart, he of the barmy hair style and indeed the original owner of Cenkos the horse, is bullish. Read the statement and turn greedy." All I can say is that he was robbed at 67p. I managed 64. | brucie5
18/2/2020 12:35 | I've also took a few on this TU, Excellent yield for the income folio The Evil Diaries are now live: | cheshire man
18/2/2020 09:12 | I've had my eye on these for some time and bought some for income a couple of months ago. Now very glad I did, but this morning decided to add to my trading folio. I see 70p as decisive resistance, and thereafter, and big gap back up to £1 level with a following wind. Looks like 60p is solid support. | brucie5
18/2/2020 09:08 | Could be significant operational hearing here - on the upside - with costs pared right back | albert zog
18/2/2020 08:57 | Do non-execs make much difference. Always seemed to be a cosy club for boosting their pensions when in retirement. Strong, positive update: augurs well for an upturn in fortunes in 2020 and from a very solid state on the balance sheet. | trident5
18/2/2020 08:51 | Odd choice of Chairman though. What relevant investment bank experience has she got versus the previous board members? Trading update positive. | topvest |
