Numis - Trading Update released this morning via RNS.

Buoyant and confident. Worth reading.

Seemingly very upbeat sector feedback and likely positive read-across for Cenkos.

The Calnex Solutions float is a reasonable transaction for Cenkos. Probably worth up to a £1m in fess I suppose. John Lewis of Hungerford don't do much, so not a great loss! 2020 not shaping up to be a great year though unless they have some bigger deals in the coming weeks.

Involved in the Calnex Solutions float.

The Placing was significantly oversubscribed, having received strong support from institutional investors, and will raise a total of £22.5 million (before expenses), comprising £6.0 million for the Company and £16.5 million for existing shareholders. Cenkos Securities plc ("Cenkos") is acting as Nominated Advisor and Broker to the Company.

Possible fee to be earned by Cenkos in relation to the Collagen Solutions (COS) takeover by Rosen's Diversified Inc announced on 27/8?



Pg71 of the Offer Document states that aggregate fees/expenses expected to be incurred by Collagen in connection with the Offer are estimated at c.£1,076,000, of which £741,000 relates to financial & corporate broking advice.



Cenkos are Nomad & broker to Collagen, England & Company LLC are Joint Financial Adviser, and Goodbody Stockbrokers UC are Rule 3 Adviser and Joint Financial Adviser.

There is appalling rude and tedious behavior on some boards to which I never leave any comments despite decent holdings

I have found cnks a tricky one and my investment decision was based on an eps assumption this year of 4.9p and a target price of 65p. The latter reflecting my half 2 expectation annualised

What are your thoughts?

topvest - I'm not convinced that Cenkos were involved in that fundraising.

From the original fundraising rns on 5 August
"Euroz Securities Limited and Canaccord Genuity (Australia) Limited have been appointed as joint lead managers and joint underwriters and bookrunners to the Equity Raising. Material terms of the underwriting agreement are disclosed in in Annexure D of this announcement."



It sounds like the fundraising was focused on Australia, hence Australian brokers being appointed as bookrunners. The only mention of Cenkos in this rns was at the bottom confirming their status as joint broker in the UK alongside joint broker Hannam & Partners and nominated adviser Grant Thornton; neither of them appear to have been involved in the fundraiaing either.

Todays's rns on the Successful Completion of the Institutional Offer states:
"Euroz Securities Limited and Canaccord Genuity Group Inc acted as joint lead managers, joint underwriters and bookrunners to the equity raising. Argonaut Limited acted as co-manager to the equity raising. Cenkos Securities Plc is the Company's United Kingdom Corporate Broker."



No confirmation there that Cenkos were involved. If they were due any fee in connection with this, I would anticipate it to be nominal. AIMHO

Looks like adviser and broker fees are £0.9m on the Share plc deal. I suspect Cenkos will get some of this, maybe £0.5m or so!

New mandate. Cenkos have been appointed Nomad & sole broker to Windar Photonics (WPHO), replacing Cantor Fitzgerald Europe.


Possible loss of mandate. Cenkos are currently Nomad & joint broker (alongside Numis) to Safe Harbour Holdings (SHH) who have announced their intention to delist from AIM. Unclear whether Cenkos services will be required post delisting.

Marlowe was a useful deal. The Belize AIM admission company also did an acquisition, but didn't raise new equity. All helpful, but could do with some bigger deals to prove that Cenkos are back and don't need Woody!
