How can they take longer to sort this out than to clear shares in the normal course of dealing? They must have very old-fashioned backroom systems in place.

Change your broker to another terrible broker.

They are all terrible now. Too many people that have took up trading since Covid. Staff not working in their offices now, service is terrible for everything and the systems cannot cope with too many people trading.

This happened in the dot com boom too, everybody opened up a account trying to cash in on anything internet related, nobody could get through on the phones to trade.

They say their deal is T+5 - ie 5 days after "closing". But they couldn't tell me when "closing" is. The offer closed Monday 18th so should be in today. But EQI are trying to say 5 days from admission. I'm asking PB to clarify. Either PB or EQi have to go - maybe both!
