dave4545,

Can't disagree with that. But the issue not the risk per se, its viewing one as an actual entity that has full exposure to this market and industry whereas the other maybe safer but is not directly exposed to this as its an investing company.

Its an issue most investing companies face, the markets are full of investing/holding smallcaps and rarely do they actually outperform the pure-play.

There is a big lockin so even if shares hit the market later today or Monday, there will be quite some demand to buy them up.

As the poster mentions above - huge oversubscription for the shares most of which was rejected/returned. That money has no other option but the open market if it wants in.

FYI, Jarvis are the custodian for PrimaryBid. Jarvis own x-o. Allocations were available at the opening bell on x-o. So if anyone is looking to trade these IPOs quickly, I would suggest opening an x-o account and linking to your PrimaryBid account.

Note: I have no personal affiliation with Jarvis or x-o, just a satisfied customer!

Depends on your view of risk.

Would I pay 5 times and 25 times as much as others on the flotation day for a stock

No way.

Would I buy value with a big safety net. I'm not greedy...everybody else seems to be
in this market.

There's nobody with a brain either. Surely if you wanted to buy these you'd wait until all the 5p shares are delivered to online accounts first and hold back because there's going to be a huge sell off when that happens. If all my stocks were 400% up today i'd be out in a shot

IPO shares are now showing in my AJ Bell Youinvest account. Confirmed on the phone that they cannot be sold until next week.

I'm not looking to sell but what might be insignificant for you might not be for others. Every bit counts and everyone has to start from somewhere.

At this rate we may see 40p today. Mxc and kanabo both nearly 10 bagged a day or 2 after ipo in London

Considering PI's didn't receive many shares in the allocation, it's amazing how much moaning there is regarding not being able to sell them. Don't think a few pence up or down is going to break the bank with your £1000 of shares.

DB is locked in for 12 months along with the directors. If anyone is selling today it's surely institutions who took part in the placing and actually have shares to sell.

djstevens8614,

Going by the volume - doubt its DB. He will probably have a chunky stake and be locked in to some degree. That amount is chicken feed in his universe. Also, he isn't really a trader, he's into building or helping businesses grow.

At least it's holding after the initial sell off. I see one of the big shareholders sold off just after 8 (lots of 100k sells within a few minutes of each other) - could that be DB?

What's up with some of these brokers? Do they think we'll be investing in the Medellin cartel and Escobar is the boss or something?

Its just slowing tactics.
