I think we will see CCH tick up until results. Slowly but surely. I expect nil & co will be looking to sell at a fair market value for their shares held.

If there is institutional demand then I personally feel price to rise. either way long termers won't have problems
Remember Nil and co are not issuing new shares but shares that they hold.
With the amount of holding they have, confidence must be very high.

Lemminginvestor.com have some very in depth reports on CCH. You will have to subscribe. Cost is £62. Money well spent. They have reported on some great winners.

I agree. If they do release a chunk of their holdings they will have to be drip fed into the market or bought up in chunks my the institutions if they want them.

Thanks for the opinions gents....I'm still in two minds...I know that MotleyFool has done a report on this co. - I have not seen it, but I wonder if they confront the issue of the stock's liquidity...also, I wonder if they comment on the gentlemen in charge here...

Well, logic would suggest that releasing a shedful of extra shares onto the market would depress the price.

But with CCH (and IIR for example) there have been times when the MMs have been literally without stock to deal - not enough sellers to satisfy buyers. Despite the price being heavily manipulated - both ways - that situation is contrary to the stock exchange spirit of free trade and an orderly market.

Therefore the nomad requires the major stock holders to release sufficient shares onto the exchange to allow this day to day trading to proceed in an orderly or regular manner.

These extra shares should not effect price to any great extent one way or another over the medium term; as James says, providing the business is performing well, and thus attracting investors, there should be good growth in the share price and appropriate liquidity in the market to satisfy allcomers.

That's what I'm hoping anyway!

All fair comment mg, I hold another stock that is very illiquid, the earnings are there & growth potential huge but remains undervalued as most investors are put off due to the wild swings in share price & quantities avaliable.

I think here is a similar scenario & the release of shares is to satisfy institutional demand + allow the company to be valued more appropriately, so as long as the headline figures show the anticipated growth then should be a plus longer term imo.

Soon find out anyway.

moormoney - I am asking exactly the same questions here re. the release of shares into the market and its implications for current holders and future buyers.

I am in a position to add here, yet there are two or three other v. interesting companies on my watchlist which might really deliver the goods over the next month or so.

So...at the moment I'm just sitting back and keeping my money in my pocket...pondering...we all know cch could pop, but I do have questions marks re. the increase of shares in free float, AND the not so small matter of one director (whom I know little about) holding over 70% - in fact people within the co. own about 90% (as far as I am aware)....so plenty of question marks.

Opinions invited....

It will be even harder to pick up some shares if interest continues towards the results in mid June-I can't squeeze another drop out of my holdings to add any more unfortunately. If the ceo releases a large block of his shares onto the market as promised-I know the shares will be easier to trade but should it cause a drop in price? I suppose if the results are as spectacular as we hope it will help to propel them up even more.

Good to see that I've persuaded you about the merits of little CCH Hog; I seem to remember you favouring EIIB a few weeks back!

But a disciple is very welcome ; this is still a forgotten microcap to most.

It will bring good news when it's results are released and this is only the very beginning of a long and distinghuished career for CCH I believe.

Because there are so few shares currently in free float, the various winds of investor confidence can blow this all over the place; but the fundamentals are very strong and a growth stock it most certainly is!

I know it looks like splitting hairs, but lemming does not put out lots of not very substantiated tips. It sets out instead to supply 10 -30 hours of serious research on exceptional managements, exceptional situations (like CCH), rerating moments, and global technology - with 4-10pp at a time on inaugural coverage. PIs just don't have that time. Lemming concentrates on capital growth potential.

AIM shares are hopelessly under researched, therefore hide several very underpriced shares with little or no news coverage - about one in fifty. Enough information is provided to decide for yourself whether or not to include on your watch list, and enough for you to judge appropriate timing for entry if at all. The timing is left to you because whilst the story is getting written the share price is often running away and readers should be careful to await the right entry moment after a retracement.

Dozens of research targets have doubled caps within a year, but there have also been a 16 bagger over two years (ASC), 4-bagger over six months(SOLA), a doubler over the last two months (TMC) with the last two, with exceptional forward visibility, looking very probably to develop into x10 bagger and a x6 bagger over the next 12 months.

But you cannot expect a research operation to take the decisions for you and retain responsibility. Nor do the editors have time to follow up all subsequent news, much of which you can easily follow yourself from RNS anouncements, though chunky updates are provided when an opportunity is likely to increase, or when the editors have interviwed the management, been to an analyst's briefing or t an AGM.

Happy hunting then, and DYOR as well - because obviously noone can foresee global or national emergencies like 9/11 etc., or economic disasters like the failing of a major hedge fund.

If you want to know more about the company go to lemminginvestor.com It would be worth subscribing about £60 for year. They have a brilliant record tipped SOLA TMC etc last year. Good reports on CCH

Mronion, liquidity [or lack of] will be addressed around the time of results. Erin Nil & his brother will release sufficient shares to create liquidity. According to LI the city interest is there & hopefully a true value can be given to the shares.
