Price again weak on low volume, great company, great results, but if you have been in a reasonable amount of time great profits to be banked also.

I can see these moving down to around 470 at some stage, I will then start to add.

Hoping so CR - jumped in recently so a nice run up to results would be well appreciated. Are you still in Xar - know you were in and then got out at circa the 1.20 level and then got back in. I was in from 28p but got out just before interims last September but have since returned as it just seems to continue upwards.

Creeping up today - don't be surprised if this gets a gallop imo.

From the AGM:

"The Preliminary Announcement of Results announced on 8 November 2004 stated that
the current year was expected to show further progress in all three Divisions,
especially in Food. The first four months of the new financial year have started
well:"

"The progress expected for the full year should also be manifested in the interim
results for the 26 weeks ending 26 February 2005, which it is expected will be
announced in the second half of April 2005."

Interims are actually April 19.

Well I think these will be a lot higher after the interims on April 19th. Analyst meeting to go with it.

CRM have a fabulous long term record of strong earnings growth over many years. They were hit by the foot and mouth outbreak but bounced back from that commendably and still grew earnings. Now 10% below the recent high I think these deserve to be a lot higher. I'm sure the analyst meeting on the day of the interims will be to highlight CRM's performance.

5 year eps = 14.5p, 24.7p, 32.7p, 33.1p, 38.74p.

Forecast to do 44p this year, 51.3p next year, this year will be 6 years continuous earnings growth at a compound rate of over 20% and it is forecast to continue next year at roughly the same pace.

On a forward PE of 10-11 that looks too cheap imo for such strong, reliable earnings growth.

Yep, it can only go up from here, what an opportunity to buy some more at this price.

I am also in as from today. The recent decline was the effect of general market malaise. Robbie Burns, who has been holding this for some time, added a few at 569P.

I spoke to the FD Mr Wood today. He told me I had not missed anything "bad" that could have caused the drop and that he was just as perplexed at the pull back in the share price and has put it down to the thin market and general sentiment out there. Apparently some AIM listed farm-feed supplier issued a cautious statement some weeks ago and he felt this might have spooked a few people. Without telling me anything sensitive it sounds as if things are pretty much as per the AGM statement for CRM, so all in all I am happy to hold and will try to pick the turn to add. Nothing's changed. Reuslts will be on 17th April.

Honiton,

Not sure at first glance that I agree with you, at least not against the Food Producers & Processors sector. Admittidly, it hasn't done a lot over the last 6 six weeks, but it is back to the top of it's six week range.

The FTSE All Share however has been on a down trend over the last 4 weeks or so.

Shouldn't Food Producers & Processors sector be a safe-ish area in a down market??

sector and market.

sentiment probably overdone on lead up.

still a good company, though.

but then so was British Amercian Tobacco during the dot com boom and their share price slumped.
