Michael Hill

The Directors of CareTech are profoundly saddened to announce the sudden death of Michael Hill, the Company's Group Finance Director, who passed away on Sunday 9 December 2018. The Board extends its deepest sympathies to Michael's family.

The Board wishes to acknowledge and express its gratitude for Michael's significant contribution over many years to the development of the Company.

With immediate effect Gareth Dufton (FCA) has been appointed as Interim Group Finance Director. Gareth has been involved with CareTech since 2000, in a variety of senior executive financial roles. It is expected that Gareth will join the CareTech Board on an interim basis in due course.

Farouq Sheikh, Executive Chairman of CareTech, commented:

"Michael was an integral part of the CareTech family. He was much loved both within CareTech and by all those he came into contact with. Michael had a charming and exuberant personality, which I will always fondly remember together with his exemplary work ethic.

"On behalf of the entire CareTech family I extend our sincerest condolences to Michael's family at this very sad and tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Molly, and his family and may his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen."
