14/7/2024 13:13 | The good news for us is that whenever somebody plumps for moonpig it immediately attracts enquiries for Card. So says my broker, he is of corse a Card supporter. There will shortly come a time when Moopig is regarded as overpriced, hopefully comparisons will stop then | ![]() harry_david

08/7/2024 14:58 | starting to get real traction now...retail report at cannacord was a sector initiation with card the most preferred pick out of entire report. the thing to note from both cannacord and berenberg is the margin of safety on offer...think berenberg's downside case still got us to 125p...in line with peel (who just do not like card; I contest strongly their 'moonpig eats lunch' thesis is absolute garbage - as does berenberg and cannacord). i was getting frustrated with share price but in particular the berenberg report (which is 57 pages long) went a long way to reassuring me that this is just fundamentally massively mispriced. | ![]() ggrantsu
08/7/2024 14:29 | Another new Broker rating from Canaccord. Its preferred mid-cap pick is Card Factory, rated ‘buy’ with a 185p price target, which it said offers a multi-channel growth opportunity in the UK and internationally as the business focuses on the large non-card, gifting and celebration market. | ![]() beachbum1978

02/7/2024 08:09 | Bizarrely, MOON is up today while CARD is down. Given the SHOE read across it doesn't make sense ! | ![]() fft
02/7/2024 07:17 | specialist retailers have costs pressures ... shoe today... if staff is producesd overseas. card is in a big proportion immune. love it. card will shine in the end. | ![]() kaos3

27/6/2024 09:50 | Interesting results for Moonpig - similar growth to CF, smaller from a sales point of view but similar gross margins and same number of shares. Moonpig now trades on a PE if 17x - applying that to CF would give a share price of 238p...Given that Moonpig is preferred by the City to CF (even though I believe CF is the better business) the divergence in valuation multiples may lead to Moonpig bidding for CF - I doubt they will get this sort of opportunity again! | ![]() omron
27/6/2024 03:12 | Doesn't seem to be benefiting the share price though....4.5p dividend then share price drops 6p.....just cannot fathom out this bloody share! | ![]() caveater
26/6/2024 21:19 | Good point, 4.5p/share, it's good to see dividends resumed with the pandemic behind us. The previous dividend was paid on 19th December 2019. | ![]() bountyhunter

25/6/2024 20:04 | "..on 24 June 2024, the Company's CFO, Matthias Seeger purchased, in aggregate, 39,226 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 95.6 pence per share. This share purchase was made pursuant to the requirement in the Company's Remuneration Policy requiring one third of bonus payments (after tax) to be invested in Ordinary Shares, where the minimum shareholding requirements are not met." An obligation but presumably the CFO thinks this is a good time to buy. | ![]() bountyhunter
